April 26, 200917 yr Maybe saying he has "character issues" is too harsh. But something was going on with him leading up to the draft. He underperformed, and just left the combine without telling anyone. Read a little about what I'm talking about here.

He has had very poor workouts combined with the fact that he left the combine without even telling anyone. This wasn't a 6th ROUND pick, it was the 6th pick in the 1st round. I would have went with a safer pick, but thats just my opinion.

People get too caught up in the combine, and what he has done after the season. He did not break any laws, he did not get arrested....he left the combine early, but already told people he was not working out. He fired the agent he had at the time. People need to get over all the stupid stuff after the season and look at what he did on the field. I think it was the ONLY pick to make at 6.

April 26, 200917 yr We get it, you love to hate the Bengals.:deadhorse: I just think it may be a problem that this guy got kicked off his college team and missed a major bowl game. I do think athetically Smith has more potential. But throw in the weight issues, and an obvious disloyalty to his team, I think thats a problem. Why is speaking the truth on here always labeled as negative or hating? It is what it is. You don't think his past is a problem well thats fine. I obviously have a different opinion of character than you.
