May 1, 200917 yr Doc just said in the post game interview the play was set up to get Allen off a flare. I saw that. Stupid play IMO, easy to switch in a situation like that. You need to get the ball in his hands one way or another. Start the play with him next time.

May 1, 200917 yr Thank you... Finally a voice of reason... He had a taller defender on him who didn't bite on the pump fake, and then was stuck out on an island. It was a stupid play. You do know who was in the game at the end right? The Bulls switched the Ray Allen screen and he wasn't open so Rondo went to the basket. Rose made a great play. Was he supposed to look for a covered House or a covered Scal?

It's taken the Bulls almost a full 6 games (including the OT's) to figure out how to do that. I don't know how many times they've been in situations where you have to prevent a three at all costs, knowing Allen is the guy, and they let him get a good look almost every time. Chicago has played some of the most ridiculous late game defense I've ever seen. They could have won this series already if they knew how to win. As it is, ignoring what's at stake, this is the best playoff series I've ever seen.

I don't think they figured it out until only Pierce and Allen were scoring options. They finally quit guarding other people. They are young and deep. I think they actually present the most problems for the Cavs in the East. They absolutely can't gurd Lebron, but nobody can. They might have the advantage at every other position against the Cavs. They won't beat them in a series this year, but it has the potential to be a good one if they get there.
May 1, 200917 yr Author If they can keep their roster in tact, the Bulls could emerge as a title contender along with Cleveland in the next two or three years (assuming Rose develops into a superstar and the rest of the young guys develop). They don't have anything for the Cavs this year though.
May 5, 200917 yr I guess no one has told the Magic they have no chance in the East.....:idunno: Barring a Garnett comeback Cleveland is the big favorite to make the finals, but Orlando does match up better w/ the Cavs.
