May 22, 200917 yr I would take the Hawks over a Yao-less and T-Mac-less Rockets team. And you would lose. The Hawks aren't that good and the Rockets would have home court advantage in that series and would at least win every game at home versus the Hawks even if they didn't have Yao or TMac.
May 22, 200917 yr Speaking of the Magic and Cavs series.... Today at the mall, Big Spikes, my brother and I had the pleasure of meeting Courtney Lee, Tony Battie and Stan Van Gundy. All 3 were extremely nice. I felt sorry for Courtney Lee, he was trying to get something to eat and even the people working the food court were asking for his autograph. I didn't want to bother him, and we just congratulated him on the win last night and I told him that I had watched him play since he was at Western. He liked that. Stan Van Gundy is totally different in person. I actually really like him now. He was going up the escalator to the top floor where the Ritz Carlton is that the team is staying in, and when he noticed Big Spikes' "UK Cal's Cats" shirt he talked to a for a moment about UK basketball. He is alot smaller in person, but I was impressed that he was so cool. We just kinda bumped into Tony Battie, and went our seperate ways after asking if he was who we thought he was. He seemed nice. We were also about 10 feet from Jameer Nelson and Hedu. They were sitting in a area of the footcourt that was blocked off. Thankfully, no one was bothering them as they were just trying to enjoy themselves. Overall, it was a cool day at the mall.

They were the third best team in the East and beat the best team in the NBA three times this season. They aren't better than the Cavs IMO, and I think the Cavaliers will bounce back tomorrow night and win comfortably. I like how no one gives the Cavs credit on here, they lose one (1) game and they lose all credibility; the Magic are world beaters and the Lakers are going to walk to an NBA Championship. The Cavs need to switch more effectivley on their pick and roll defense, and help out more. Illgauskus needs to be taken off of Howard IMO, he is simply not fast enough to keep up. I would put Varajeo on him, and perhaps put either Ben Wallace or Joe Smith on Lewis. Z's slow feet are a liability. Also, scoring 49 last night was awesome, but if the supporting cast comes up short like they did in game 1; the Cavaliers will lose this series. As I said before, it doesn't matter if it is Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Michael Jordan, Wilt Chamberlain, JJ Redick, who ever. If you have one consistent scorer, you aren't going to win a playoff series. You're not giving them any credit at all. Originally, the Cavs were going to sweep. Now that they lost game 1, it's they'll win in 5. What happens when they lose at least one, probably 2, in Orlando? Is your prediction going to change to 6 games? Maybe 7? Realistically I see the series being 2-2 when it returns to the Q for game 5. I think the Cavs will finish it from there. There are a lot of matchups that just aren't there for the Magic, they shot lights out in game 1. Not many teams would have beat them that night. If they are busting the 3 and getting 30 and 12 from Howard they are tough to beat. The Cavs almost did it...well LeBron almost did it. Watching it live was very tough, but I'm not really worried about this series yet. That may change tommorrow or in the next few games, but not yet. Not from what I saw last night.
May 23, 200917 yr Um, don't look now but Cleveland is in the process of blowing a 23 point first half lead in Game 2. It is now 75-71 Cleveland with 11 minutes left in the 4th.

May 23, 200917 yr This is CRAZY to me. I cannot believe that Cleveland is blowing these leads. I have to admit I was completely wrong about Orlando, but I just cannot believe the way the Magic is winning.
