April 21, 200917 yr Each time that Arroyo has been on the hill, Hanigan has been behind the dish. Remember when Arroyo said he didn't have much chemistry with Hernandez, but wasn't going to ask for Hanigan as a personal catcher? Myself & other BGP members were all over that one. :thumb: I like Hanigan a lot as a backup catcher / spot starter. You can blame the WBC for that really but Ramon needs days off anyway so it makes sense both ways. If you have followed Bronson over his career he is far and away a better pitcher with a personal catcher.

He has be horrible at the place his whole career. Gonzo isn't getting replaced by someone who is equal to him at the plate and not even in the same conversation in the field. Hairston is starting to remind me of Freel, last night he ran into the outfield wall on a ball that he had no chance to catch.

April 21, 200917 yr Gonzalex is a better hitter than Janish, over the course of his career. Janish hasn't really gotten much of an opportunity to show what he can do at the plate. He's been very solid in the field, though. I don't think Janish & Gonzo are world's apart in the field either, as some would have you believe.

April 21, 200917 yr I think Dickerson, and possibly Phillips will end up over .270, with Bruce being pretty close. Dickerson may, but he's a part timer. If he and Hairston combine to go .275 I'll be happy especially if they get on at a decent clip. Phillips might be close but I'd be willing to wager he doesn't get there.

'07 - 2nd in the Southern League in Doubles & 4th in Walks. He was also hitting .293 in AAA when he was called up in '08.
