This will help recruiting more than anything. Delk and Padgett is knows by EVERYONE. They Haven't been out of the league long. They can teach players what they have to do to make it to the next level!!

Did anyone else just get chills?

Shew I know I did!!! Can it please just be Basketball season already????

Very good move on Cal's part. Padge had hinted at this when I spoke with him a couple of weeks ago.

You mean this shot?

And this reaction!

The reaction is one of the classic moments.

I really think Cal is going to bring the UK dynasty back better than ever!

You know what has been missing on this team for awhile was a Pope/Padgett type of 4 player that could knock down the open 3 and pull that other post defender away from the basket. That opened up the post game inside, the drive/backdoor cuts to the basket.

For a good while even with Hayes/Daniels, the Cats had been missing this weapon and I always felt it was the best strategic move that Pitino/Smith's early teams always had.

Tony Delk, well at least we have added someone who can knock down an outside shot.

How about Josh Harrellson?

How about AJ Stewart?

What the team lacked last year was a point guard...

Stewart and Harrellson are not close. Maybe down the road but not even close as of right now.

PG was the missing component.

I love this addition, imagine an UK all time great calling you or showing up at your game to recruit you. Someone you know that has been there and proved they were a Big Game Player. Delk will be a great person for helping Meeks learn how and when to control his shot. I think both guys can help the team in multiple ways.:thumb:

I'm not comparing Harrellson & Stewart to Pope or Padgett. I'm just saying that both of them are capable of knocking down the outside shot & pulling that extra defender out of the lane.

But, for some unknown reason, BCG preferred to have Perry Stevenson at the top of the key.

My misunderstanding.:thumb:

I think BCG expected Stevenson to knock that shot down but he never did consistently. Wonders of the world.
