So....I found THE BEST place to watch Thunder tonight. I've been walking my 'hood, scoping the options for about a week. Tonight, I grabbed the Luckster and we walked about a mile down Bardstown/Baxter to Payne Street, and had THE view! The street was closed going into downtown, so we were able to stand in the street and see all except the waterfalls off of the Bridge. We could even hear the music! We walked down in about a half an hour, and about a half an hour back. I will be doing this every year!

 

BTW...that was my second walk today...I got in 5 miles today!

I haven't been in a few years and I frankly have little desire to go back. Crowds like that make me want to hurt people and fireworks are boring to me. The only thing of any interest is the air show and the problem you run into there is that there is too much in the way of civilian aircraft.

 

I may go back at some point, but I am in no hurry.

:thumb: I find that most people that don't like Thunder don't like big crowds. If you can deal with all the people, it's an absolute blast.

So is Hillbilly Days. Tell Louisville to stop having it the same weekend as Hillbilly Days and you might get the Eastern part of the state to actually go to Thunder.
