April 8, 200917 yr Author Is that for real??? lol....That's awesome! :thumb: Just got back to the condo from the boat about an hour ago. What a great experience. We've been here several times, but never during whale season. It was spectacular.
April 8, 200917 yr Just curious but what does it cost to get that close, or did you have some great zoom on that camera?
April 8, 200917 yr Just curious but what does it cost to get that close? Yeah; how much do those whales charge...?
April 8, 200917 yr Author That looks like one of those "insurance company" logos. Great photo! :thumb: The economy is down here like every where. Typically it's 19.95 per person. Right now it's 19.95 per couple. Either way it's not very expensive. Boats can only approach to 100 yards of the whales. Sometimes the whales will come up close to the boats on their own. We were right at 100 yards on this pic. Mrs C has real good camera equipment. So that helps a lot. When you go let me know, I'll give you some tips on where to go and what to do. We've been here many times.
April 8, 200917 yr Excellent shot CWF! I think you need to get Mrs. CWF to join BGP and we'll appoint her "Official Photographer".
April 8, 200917 yr I might have missed something, but where are you doing this? Atlantic or Pacific Ocean. Several years back I went whale watching about 30 miles off the coast of Maine and it was incredible. I'm glad you're enjoying this!:thumb:
April 8, 200917 yr Awesome picture, but my jealousy tends to make me not like you right now for being in Maui.
April 8, 200917 yr That's fantastic. I've been on some dolphin watching trips but does not even compare to your trip. I do have to agree HT721 though. I am extremely jealous. Do you know that it snowed here yesterday?
