President Obama and Hillary Clinton are going to turn this in to the U.N.!! I'll bet that will scare the little mad man to death. They have sanctions against them now and have ignored them. The U.N. stands for (United Nothing) imo.

Also, imo it is pretty evident that China had a hand in this as well as Iran. North Korea gets everything from China, they could not survive without them. I don't see how anyone could believe for one second that China didn't know about it long before and approved it, had China told them no then they would have done away with it in a heartbeat. As for Iran, I would think that they are looking at it very closely and are primary buyers for the missle (hows that for stimulating the world economy:D).

 

Oh yeah, President Obama wants to buddy up with them (Iran) as well, we certainly don't want to be arrogant (unless the arrognce is from our President and administration to our own people).. Fairly easy to see a pattern here imo.

They cannot reach us today, but what about their neighbors, or in time will they develope the ability to reach us? Stopping them now will be easier and cheaper than later. If the Europeans had challenged Hitler in 1936 when he marched into the Rhineland or not allowed him to take over the Sudetenland in 1938 they could have avoided WWII. They may have been some fighting, but it would have been contained to Europe.

 

They violated an UN Resolution, but the UN will do nothing. If they do it will be another resolution. I wonder how many of these mean messages will be passed and ignored by the North Koreans. Most likely the UN will nothing as China and Russia are allowing the North Koreans to test us to see what our response will be.

With the popular belief that the UN will do nothing of substance what should the US do?

Actually there was already considerable Japanese expansionism going on in the Pacific by then as well. I would hope you know that WWII was not simply a European conflict. There was a powder keg brewing and all that would have happened there would have been a delay of the inevitable.

Taking Htler out would have been the thing to do if the German Generals did not arrest him. Some German Generals were ready to arrest him if he invaded Czechoslovakia, but the British and French gave in to him at Munich.

 

Yes dealing with the Japanese was still another matter. If we only dealing with the Japanese it still may have led to war, but a smaller, less costly situation, as we could have turned our full might on them.

The six party talks would be the starting point. Putting pressure on China to stop NK is our best bet. That failing, the next launch attempt should be stopped with a cruise missile. When Russia invaded Georgia the world did nothing except protest, so I would expect nothing different. The rest of the world is not going to war over the nut leader in NK.
