March 30, 200917 yr Travis Ford will be the next UK coach if Donovan turns it down. That's who Todd wants. Pitino said in his interview today, that he thinks they should hire Ford or Pelphrey; but then he might have a vested interest in either??

March 30, 200917 yr Pitino said in his interview today, that he thinks they should hire Ford or Pelphrey; but then he might have a vested interest in either?? Pitino knows: (A) Ford or Pelphrey would be one of "his" getting a big time job, which is another feather in his cap, and... (B) He could beat the tar out of either one of them on a regular basis, thus keeping Louisville at the top of the state! Edited March 30, 200917 yr by gchs_uk9

March 30, 200917 yr Its not silly when big time recruits say no to your school because of it. Doesn't look like Izzo has much trouble getting recruits that takes him to the final four.

March 30, 200917 yr I'd like them to take a close look at Xavier's Sean Miller. He's produced some good guard play and I think that's been an area UK has struggled.

March 30, 200917 yr I've got to believe that this search was over before Billy was shown the door. No way Barnhart takes a chance of being turned down again like 2 years ago after he let Tubby go. My money is on Donovan.

March 30, 200917 yr Rick Pitino as the next head coach at Kentucky. Signs a 5 year contract under the understanding that his son takes over the program in 5 years! What do you think about that?

My money is on Donovan. Agree with your logic--It's Calipari or Donovan, and it was a done deal before Friday. If they don't announce by Tuesday or Wednesday though all bet's are off, and Barnhardt was turned down?

Like part a, not real keen on part b...... Can't happen, though, due to state laws for employees, unless Junior is stepping in from somewhere else when Dad hangs it up at the end of 5. That is why you did not have a Tubby/Saul combo.
