March 16, 200917 yr And thanks for the common opponent tid-bit. I was unaware that MSU had lost to Grambling State and Alabama State had beaten them twice. I am cheering for the Eagles, but that piece of information worries me. I wouldn't worry too much about that. MSU is a different team now than they were at that point of the season. Keep in mind that MSU started the season 0-6, which means they finished the season 19-9. :thumb:
March 16, 200917 yr Morehead is where they are (play-in game) because the OVC was an absolute joke of a conference and proved it on Bracket Buster Saturday. I am not sure how telling the RPI is for teams rated as low as Morehead and Alabama State are. Each played some tough OOC games, but lost them all. Alabama State had a couple of close games with some SEC foes. Morehead got beat pretty well in their biggest tests of the season. They did feature a common opponent in Grambling State. Morehead lost by a point. Alabama State beat them by 14 and by 7. Let's go Eagles!!!!! A pretty good point...:thumb:

Let us be honest, when it comes to seeds 15-16, we really know nothing about these teams other than being able to compare a few scores here and there against teams back in November/December and their performance on Bracket Buster Saturday. The OVC was horrendous that day and I would say it is a big factor in the selection committee's decision.
March 16, 200917 yr The NCAA says to please call it the opening round, not a play-in game! If they want to call it the opening "round" then they should probably have more than one game on Tuesday night.
March 16, 200917 yr Daughter is getting a pair of tickets for us to go to Dayton, are they taking pep buses to Dayton, or is it every man for himself? If you are a student and you got your name on the bus there is a student bus tomorrow, if not I guess it is on your own. Son and 6 SigEp brothers are going on the pep bus, wow I wish I could be back at MSU again but I guess I get to live it through my sons. GO MSU - PROUD TO BE AN EAGLE ALUM
