Mine too for the same reasons you stated. Not who I would hope to win, but I think they will.

Yeah, I don't really want them to win either. But if they can get past Corbin, I think they're golden for a championship.

I just don't see anyone beating Elliott County.

I believe that Anderson will give them a tough match up in the first game.

I voted for Eastern, maybe wrong with 37% of the votes going to Holmes and 29% to Elliott Co.Eastern with only 8.4%.on well.:idunno:

Ballard isn't exactly a big team. They have nobody over 6'4 and both of their starting guards are under 6'0. Holmes starts 3 kids who are 6'4 or bigger and at times you'll see 6'2 Housely/D. Johnson, 6'4 J. Johnson, 6'5 R. Johnson, 6'6 Rice, and 6'7 Pittman in there.

Mason also isn't that athletic either. Barner and Middleton are but other than that they aren't a team that's going to run and gun. Mason gets by on playing tough defense and forcing turnovers by using their depth and pressing. Mason is a decent size team though.

Mason will repeat with their defense, tenacity and excellent coaching.

EC had a shot to tie at the buzzer. I wouldn't say they were beaten handily.

How is winning by 3, beating someone handily?

Gloss over it how you like. Had SV hit their FTs at the end, it would have been a 15-point win.

I guess what it proves is that Shelby Valley can do everything possible to blow a game and still beat the world's greatest team (if you believe all the hype)?

I have been talking about Louisville Eastern since this summer. I am very high on them. They may get upset 1st game, but IMO the tourney is set up favorably for them and I think they will win it all.

I just don't see anyone beating Elliott County.
