Is Jim Hicks going to Fleming?

Featured Replies

He has proven he can coach so if he made a move I would think it would be more toward Central Ky to a more high profile job.

Wasn't Hicks lock, stock and barrel headed to Somerset last year?

If they watched him coach against Lewis Monday night I wouldn't want him either!

Jeff Davis would be a good fit for Fleming.

They better get Davis if they can, he isn't going to be an assistant very much longer. My sources tell me he would listen if they came after him.

What about the Coach from Russell Co. Name has been going around.

Would be a great choice if so.

Yes, Willie Feldhaus would be an EXCELLENT choice, but I can't imagine him leaving Russell County. He and his family seem very happy there.

Proven he can coach by taking a Bath Co. team with a lot of talent to a region first round loss and a region semi loss? Not to mention they don't exactly play in the toughest district.

He wouldn't last ten minutes as Elliott's coach.

Other than the his last name, I have yet to see what the craze is about Jim Hicks. I havent seen him coach in a few years, but several years ago he didnt impress me at all.

He's very impressive. He has to be in terrific cardiovascular shape to flail around like he just sat on a hill of fireants each and every trip down the floor. Dude's certainly impressive in that manner.:taz:

Bath Co. had 18 straight losing seasons and had not won a district championship in 30 years. In 2 seasons Coach Hicks is 40-12, 2 district championships, and back to back 20 win seasons. People also forget that he won a district championship at Greenup in his last season there. He also had 4 straight winning seasons at Greenup. No other Coach has done that since Coach Ward. Love him or hate him he is a winner.
