I don't see UC having to move their Skyline Crosstown games or Pittsburgh forcing the Heinz people to move their state title games. Also, isn't it ironic that U of L has no game on the "biggest weekend" of the year for the Big East. December was left wide open on the U of L schedule.

 

It has not been confirmed that Saturday is available for now. Nothing "permanent" may ever come from this.

 

As far as playing it home and home, you feel that 10,000 tickets at $24.50 a head works well in place of 35,000 at $7.00? I'm sure the parents would to see their students cough that money up. The two schools do depend on this income to take care of many athletic expenses during the year.

First off, ESPN rules the roost (no pun), so there's not much arguing that.

Secondly, there are two large playable stadiums in Cincinnati, not so in Louisville.

Lastly, Who said do a home and home? Saturday would make for a larger crowd (Thursday is not happening), which in turn brings in money....and especially now, money is king.....it could turn out to be a good thing.

I wonder if there is a game at Commonwealth Stadiun on Friday, maybe they could move the game there and not change it to a Saturday night game.

This is no big deal by any stretch....if Trinity and St. Xavier are upset about getting bumped...play at Trinity, otherwise accept Saturday, and be done with it...much ado about nothing...and I also feel if the weather is right, the crowd will be gigantic.

Again, UofL owns the stadium. ESPN owns UofL/BigEast TV contract. They play when ESPN says so. The next best option for T & X is Saturday night. Sorry about your problems Wildcat fans, but I think Saturday will offer more options for people who want to come in town for this game.

If T/X play Saturday, will they outdraw UL/Pitt? ........ I don't think so.

As far as I am concerned I am a Shamrock first and a fan of all other teams second. If the Superbowl was on the same day as the T-X game and I was given tickets(good ones) I would probably sell them because I am a Shamrock first and foremost.

 

I would like to think that you Tigers would be of the same mindset. Good to know that UK's mediocrity for much of its existence is more important than your Tigers continued excellence on the gridiron.
