Rumor has it that Todd Harris could very well be back.

Both of the coaches they had did a very good job, especially considering that they had no football at any level in Jackson County when they started the program 3 years ago. They have won 2-3 games every year they have played. Give them time and a feeder program, and down the road, they could be competitive.

I thought that they may have filled this job by now any news out there?

I agree. I have a feeling that the one from Florida could be Matt Thompson who is orginally from London and is currently coaching in Floriday.

 

I have heard the name Arthur Carter as a possible candidate. I think he may be an assistant at Bell County, but haven't heard much on him.

There are small towns and rural counties in Florida and Texas. You don't find them just in Kentucky.

That was the name I heard yesterday in Jackson County. I don't know anything about Coach Carter, but if he came from Bell County, he has studied under one of the best coaches in the mountains.

I have been told by a school board member that Coach Carter will be the new coach at Jackson County. Good luck to him and the Generals!!!

If Coach Carter took the Job, best of luck to him. I hope the School System will step up and give him what he needs to succede. There is more to turning around a struggling program than just hireing a good coach. I've seen several start Football and not be committed to it. Basketball is king in some systems and Football dosn't get a chance. That would be my concerne if I were taking a job like Jackson Co.
