A good stipend. Total control over the football program, meaning Little League too, and a gravy train teaching job during the football season (ex:only a couple classes, lunchroom duty, weightlifting class(s) and maybe I.S.S. A combination of those)

 

Those three intangibles would draw people back to it, regardless of what's happened.

The story I am hearing is that there are three coaches involved, one was wanted by the boosters, one was wanted by the administration. These two coaches were both interviewed multiple times. Then the guy that got hired was the one the Super wanted. I agree its a good job but gonna be tough for whoever gets it now.

Your joking right? I've seen Glasgow's Varsity and JV and they will struggle to win the district much less the State Championship. Not saying they won't be greatly improved compared to this season but lets not get carried away...

Their varsity struggled b/c they were extremely young this year in a lot of key spots. Given that fact, their J.V struggled. They were playing a varsity schedule with kids, that in most years, would have been playing J.V.

Will have to beat Green and Monroe first. No disrespect to Metcalfe but the district will be between Green, Monroe, and Glasgow. Glasgow does have talent but not sure they have more than Green or Monroe.

If they lined up v.s those teams and competed in a track meet, Glasgow would win easily. That's the talent factor and Glasgow has that edge, but that's nothing new. They've had that edge over lots of people for years, some ending better than others.

 

However, we all know talent a lone doesn't make you the best football team.
