March 5, 200917 yr Author I thought of one more. I didn't realize how annoying this was until I experienced it first hand ant the UK/LSU game Saturday. I'll call him "Mr. Fan Coach." A guy setting a row in front of me was screaming out plays (from the upper deck). This guy was so into it that he knew the officials names. He also gave his wife very hard high fives after any basket UK made and any decent defensive miss. He really reminded me of Joe from family guy. He was very intense. At first it was ruining the experience. By the end of the game, I was laughing so hard at him I really didn't care that UK had lost. When I attended Morehead back in the 70s, there was a guy who would do a running commentary on the game as if he were a radio commentator. "Coulter backs his man down in the post, turns and shoots. Score! Coulter now with 16 in the game, 10 in the second half." That was just a bit annoying; we learned pretty quickly to move away if he sat close. In the spirit of the beer commercials - "Mr. MSU Eagles Pretend Basketball Announcer Guy."

I dated a girl several years ago (almost 20) that had a dad that was consumed by "UK Fever". He would record every single game, then watch them over and over, taking notes. He would stop, rewind, start again, take more notes. He would then fax his "game notes" and a complete game summary to the UK athletic office, convinced they would make it into Pitino's hands. I have seen a lot of dedicated fans, but this is the most pathetic thing I have ever witnessed regarding college sports.

Perhaps someone currently in the athletic department might want to give this guy a call...

March 5, 200917 yr Last night at the BOK. I have seats 1 & 2 on the end of the aisle. To my left probably 8 to 10 open seats. The guy, who by the way was rather large, that has seat 3 and his buddy who has seat 4 come and sit down in their assigned seats. Literally he is taking up half my seat! Why do people insist on sitting "on top of you" when there are seats available. I understand if those who have seat 5 and 6 and so on show up. Until then give me some space!!!!

A pet peeve of mine is when people say "setting" instead of "sitting." All in good fun!

March 6, 200917 yr I have no idea why this bothers me so much, but when someone uses the word ideal in place of idea it grinds me greatly.
