March 2, 200917 yr You must hate reading some of the post's on here. (I did that on purpose) It's all I can do to keep from writing all over my monitor with my bloody-red ink pen.
March 2, 200917 yr Those who can't apply an apostrophe correctly when attempting to show possession. The worst is when you're in a school and you see the boy's and girl's bathroom. Who is this boy who owns the bathroom? And is he friends with the girl? A piggyback on this rule is those who use apostrophes incorrectly when attempting to show plurality. This really irks me, too!
March 2, 200917 yr The lids to the Pringles cans don't fit the bottom of the can - only the top. I wish they did so I could snap the lid to the bottom of the can while I'm snacking. Right on. I thought I was the only one.

March 2, 200917 yr The impending death of the newspaper and radio business. Grew up with it, and it was all I ever wanted to be a part of. I've done my best to adjust as it fails, but not much you can do with how it stands. Very sad...

Who is this boy who owns the bathroom? And is he friends with the girl? A piggyback on this rule is those who use apostrophes incorrectly when attempting to show plurality. How about sticking an apostrophe on the end of every "s"? I had a high school administrator that loved his apostrophes--he never missed an opportunity to stick one in where one did not belong. It drove me nuts that a person with a Rank I still didn't know how to properly use an apostrophe!
March 2, 200917 yr Saying "mute" instead of "moot." Saying/typing "prolly" instead of "probably." Mr/Ms. Throw a comma in every two words when writing/typing. Using the rapper instead of the actual correct spelling of "ludicrous." What???? I remember a thread from a couple of years ago when Jim Schue (I think) complained about this very thing. I seem to remember that more than one person thought the rapper's name was the correct spelling! Here's another one from me--when someone asks me "you don't work, do you?" I just really want to punch them in the mouth! I may not leave my house at a same time every morning, but running a household of 7 people, along with a home business, sure feels like work to me!
