Oldrambler said it best. Elliot County is on a mission and I honestly don't think Russell can stay with them. I hope both teams play their best and stay injury free.

Russell 44

Elliott will win this one by 30+; will dominate start to finish. Go Lions!

I wish Elliott the best. I'd love to see them make a run at it all and be the last one standing. They have been as dominant in this region as I can ever recall. The kids deserve it, the fans deserve it. With that said, I look forward to the game because alot can be said about Russell in this one. They will be intense and play hard and again, there are 8 other teams in our region that will be spectators, not participants, so there is something to be said for the Russell kids and coaching staff to have even gotten there, considering that they were picked either 15 or 16 by most this preseason. Russell will return all but 2 seniors next season. Should be a brighter future for them around the corner. I look forward to a good game that I hope remains respectable.

Elliott County by 30

Elliott is on a direct mission now to win 7 games in a row. Russell will have little say in re-directing that mission. Elliott didn't cut the nets down at East Carter. They are only interested in one set of nets that are hanging in downtown Lexington right now. I have believed for 2 years now that they will cut those nets down. Guess what?? Still believe it today.

I thought that it was pretty cool how they set up the ladder and everyone was just standing around talking. They expect more and are hungry for something bigger than a district title (which is an accomplishment for any school), I think that it shows where they are as a team. When you know you are suppose to be there and expected to win, your expectations must go farther toward the bigger picture. :D

Its pretty impressive for a team that was 3-26 last season and picked to finish in the bottom 2 this season. There's no other way to look at it - this was a great season for the young Russell squad.

The word "run" is synonymous with the word "streak" in the context of the message that I quoted. I don't think Russell was streaking wins at any point this season.

Do I need to define streak or are you ok on that one Wireman?

Will the gym be cleared out between games or how are they doing it? I know in the past you are able to watch the 2 games on one night with just 1 ticket but are they going to let you watch all 4 games with just 1?

I would say it will be cleared the 2nd game should be done about 4:30

That's what I figure too. They'll have to . . .otherwise . . . where would the Elliott fans sit??

I like that idea and gesture......to stay focused. I am sure they have heard it all before but my advice would be just to stay focused, keep their eye on the prize and as the great Jimmy V would say "survive and advance".

Fear no one but respect all, each game for Elliot now imo is like going to a job for the players. Just pick up that lunch box every day in practice leading to every game, and then to practice for the next game, andthe next one....and so on. Each game is a pay day and leading to the big pay day in Rupp that they are working for.

At least that's my 2 worthless cents as an outsider to the program, I am not an Elliot fan but imo all of us in the region will be Elliot fans when and if they make it to Rupp. Go Elliot Co., make all the small Class A schools along with the 16th region proud, you already have.:thumb:

Why don't you go ahead and define it for me.:notworthy:

Elliott should rotate in some subs when they get up by 20 regardless of when that occurs in the game. Just don't see this being under 30.

Good Luck to the Lions. Keep your eye on the prize. I know you can do it. Thank you to this team and parents for your hard work and dedication. We (the whole county) love you!
