Information for those who attend the 9th & 10th Region at the BOKC

:thumb: I couldn't agree with you more. This is a big deal for those kids and they are going to have to leave Mt.Olivet around 8:00 am. I would rather play late on a Saturday than that early in the morning. Why couldn't the 9th region girls play their game first and then turn the gym over to the 10th? I think the whole thing is going to be one big mess.

The Ninth had a contract (a three year contract to boot) in hand prior to the Tenth asking the BOKC for the use of the building. Should the Ninth have just rolled over and played dead for the folks in the Tenth?

I think the point is, there are going to be parking issues regardless of where the region final is held, so why do we need to talk bad about this school or that schools' facility?

All three ran great tournaments when it was their year to host. Let's just all be thankful for the KIDS that they have this opportunity to play at a great facility like BOKC that has more than enough parking, accomodates ALL fans that want to come, and most of all will prepare our 9th and 10th region representatives for a deep run at Rupp, by getting them used to playing on a college size court. :thumb:

Thank you tezzyrice !

Too much money to watch 2 Regional Finals? :ohbrother:

LOL, I agree. It reminds me of that saying, some people just aren't happy unless they are always complaining about something. They never stop! :ohbrother:

So are you saying that they should get a hotel room and stay the night before? That is what the teams playing in the Sweet 16 do. Maybe the BOK can pay for the rooms. :irked:

Rupp I can guarantee you doesn't pay for the hotel rooms, the KHSAA does. Maybe the Tenth Region can pay for that Hotel room?

Each school is getting just under $5000 - that should cover the cost of a few hotel rooms.

I know the answer, that being the time of the first semi-final (final four) game that is played at Rupp on Saturday? I think that game being it's played for the right to play in the State Championship might be a tad bigger, than a first round game in the Region and it's played at drum roll please........10am. :thumb:

:thumb: This is a new one, we didn't hear people complaining about the 10am game before the draw. You made a GREAT point about the Sweet 16 semi final at 10am. :thumb:

Both teams in game, have to come ready to play, no matter what time it is. I guess the 10am game only effects 1 of the teams?

No big deal about leaving at 8am, either deal with it or come up the night before! In football Beechwood didn't seem to have a problem playing the 11am State Championship game, they leave 7 or 8 am, seems to fit them well.

I have never agreed to playing the semis and final in one day. Play the semis at Saturday night and then the finals Sunday afternoon....

Someone post some pictures of the BOKC. I would enjoy seeing it.

I will be happy to see if it is as bad as all the Mason people are whining about.

I think the venue will be fine. It's no big deal to get there, the AA is easy. I'm thinking to make a day of it and finish at the Knotty Pine on the Bayou Saturday evening.:p

I'm just glad my school is still in at this point of the season.:thumb:

Im not a Mason fan but the BOK is fine, an excellent arena. I was very pleased with it when I attented the Holmes vs Scott Co. game. I just feel like the Fieldhouse is the place for the 10th region. It is about tradition, if you grew up as a 10th regoin fan and had been to it every year then you should understand. I can see where the fans of different teams could have arguments and they are all understood. Every place will have negatives and positives but to me the Fieldhouse easily has the least amount of negatives. This is the last thing I am saying about this argument though because it can be argued about for days like it previously has been.

I'll probably bring one to-go home, as well.
