What secular song would you want played at your funeral?

I must admit, the idea for this thread comes from a song I recently discovered on pandora.com (the 2nd best website after BGP) called "Our Farewell" by Within Temptation.

"Our Farewell"

In my hands

A legacy of memories

I can hear you say my name

I can almost see your smile

Feel the warmth of your embrace

But there is nothing but silence now

Around the one I loved

Is this our farewell?

Sweet darling you worry too much, my child

See the sadness in your eyes

You are not alone in life

Although you might think that you are

Never thought

This day would come so soon

We had no time to say goodbye

How can the world just carry on?

I feel so lost when you are not at my side

But there is nothing but silence now

Around the one I loved

Is this our farewell?

Sweet darling you worry too much, my child

See the sadness in your eyes

You are not alone in life

Although you might think that you are

So sorry your world is tumbling down

I'll watch you through these nights

Rest your head and go to sleep

Because my child, this is not our farewell.

This is not our farewell.

A very good song was played at my grandfather's funeral called "Go rest high on the mountain." It was a sad sad song but good.

I work at a funeral home and that song is played at almost EVERY funeral we work.

Anyhoo..

Conway Twitty - That's My Job

Lynyrd Skynyrd - All I Can Do Is Write About It

A friend of mine died in a four wheeler accident a few years ago. One of my friends who is in a band played this at his funeral (it was his favorite song). Every time I hear the song it brings back good memories of my friend when he was alive.

Definately Kansas "Dust in the Wind"

Kid Rock "Roll on"

And since the priest at my Catholic wedding wouldn't let me walk down the aisle to it... "Sympathy for the Devil" by the Rolling Stones. (Just kidding.)

"Go Rest High" gets played at lots of funerals as does "I'm already There" not sure of the artist (country)
