What speed do you need to have in the forty to be a GC Running Back? A buddy from Portsmouth said the Ports High cutoff is 4.50 seconds. Higher than that you are not going to run the football for Trojans. I would think you have to make adjustments according to your players.:confused:

I can't see any HS in America putting that number out there. Considering there are many RB's in the NFL that run in the 4.6-7's.:confused: Heck alot of teams would be happy to have kids run 4.8's in the backfield.

Exactly, a 4.5 is awesome at h.s level, GC has six or seven kids under a 4.8.

I bet that same guy has a bridge to sale you too.

GC will be OK they just need some more time to work on the offense. It takes time if you are going to run the Belly. They seem to want to get better that is the main thing.

How are the boys after Camp? I am sure they gained a lot from it.

I really don't think they'll have to worry about the backfield. The big question mark is the offense of line.

After seeing them in person I would have said the opposite. The O-line looked ok the backs seemed to not run very hard. Copley will get them going. Get ready for 3 yards and cloud of dust.

Thats good, I like to hear that the feeder systems are doing well. Hopefully that will translate into years to come of good Greenup Co. football.

It was also nice to see H.S. coaches on the field last night working with the middle school team. Mon and Tues were the only days those guys will have off for a while and they still showed up just to help Coach Hunt out. GC football is becoming one big family.
