All three is a stretch. Only one has even been to the state finals. I hope it happens but dont dringk too much Kool-Aid recpark.

Musketeer alum......When I first joined bgp a little over three years ago there were not many Raceland fans at all on here. Probably not over 6 or so if that many. Now I honestly cannot tell you just how many Ram fans that are on bgp. When GC starts winning (and I believe they will) you will see more and more join. I have a great deal of respect for GC, have friends that attended there along with friends that attended McKell, Greenup and Wurtland before GCHS was a school. I was in h.s. at Raceland in the early-mid 70s (75' grad) when the county schools combined so I probably know more people that attended the three schools before GCHS consolidated.

What I am saying is my advice (if it is worth anything:D) would be for everyone to come together and let your coaches coach, players play and for the fans to support them all, offer help but not get in their (coaches) way.

Besides my beloved Raceland Rams/Ramblers I pull for Ashland and GCHS in our immediate area due to some close connections there.(btw, yes I am old and we were the Ramblers when I was young and coming up through elementary and Jr. High:eek:). I pull for all kids at all schools and hope all remain injury free. After all, the kids are what it is all about and I love high school sports.

Well, I have went on and given you and bored you with way too much information so I will go now and just say that we will put up with Coupon 21 if you can put up with the likes of sidelinedoc, Ram,cvillecat and myself.:lol::thumb:

If you are talking about Hampton, he didnt come to spring practice and has not shown up at any weight lifting.

Tell me if there is any truth in this, I heard that if GC would win the State in baseball that about 8 kids said they would play football. I don't know if any of them could play but it would be nice to have more kids that you know are athletes:confused:

No, he is not, which is a big disappointment to me, he told me he was going to, now he said he is going to go straight basketball, which in my opinion is a mistake on his part, he could go D1 in football if he started working this summer. Huge loss on his part...

I agree, but with the emphasis being put on "one sport only" nowadays, plus with high school athletes either wanting, or needing, to work after school jobs, there will be less and less multi-sport athletes out there. I believe that we had a discussion like this some time ago as to why GCHS has so many possible athletes not coming out for teams.

Be thankful for the numbers. Smaller schools have to have multi-sport athletes in order to survive. Raceland has very few one sport athletes.
