February 19, 200917 yr I do better at avoiding the food at schools that don't allow food in the gym. If I have to eat it in the lobby, I usually pass on it. Same here.

February 19, 200917 yr In NKY I think Dixie has the best football concession. Bball goes to Conner. I think in general NKy is pretty disappointing as far as concession stands go.

February 19, 200917 yr Y'all don't have hot boiled peanuts? Ain't nothin' better than a large cup of hot boiled peanuts drenched in hot sauce with a large "co-cola" on a Friday night. :thumb:

Ain't nothin' better than a large cup of hot boiled peanuts drenched in hot sauce with a large "co-cola" on a Friday night. :thumb: That must be an acquired taste. I tried those at New Smyrna Speedway and couldn't figure out why anybody would eat boiled peanuts. Edited February 19, 200917 yr by Mr.Network
February 19, 200917 yr I haven't been to many high school games this year but even going to almost all the games at Freedom Hall this year, I'm not much of a concession stand consumer. Does the Hall still have the Kentucky Pork Producers stand with the awesome pork chop sandwiches?
February 19, 200917 yr That must be an acquired taste. I tried those at New Smyrna Speedway and couldn't figure out why anybody would eat boiled peanuts. It is, and I love 'em. They can be kind of slimy if not done right, though. Hot boiled peanuts are available at most any event down here, including most high school football games. They don't work well at basketball games, though. No place to spit the shells.
February 19, 200917 yr Author Please explain. Take a snack size bag of Fritos, open up and add taco meat. Now, eat with a spoon from the bag.
February 20, 200917 yr Add the jalapenos and lettuce as well. LOL. I have chili pie which is a big grab bag of Fritos, a ladel of nacho cheese and a ladel of chili....I try to recreate this as best as possible here in my dorm room with microwaved chili and nacho cheese and its good but still not as good as getting it at a game. I have the opportunity to have my first official walking taco at Highlands High School during the Vi Gerding Classic and I was amazed at how much flavor that little bag could hold. I would have ordered another if I had any cash on me that day. LOL. The folks at Highlands can produce some really good concession food. LOL
February 20, 200917 yr Please explain. First time I saw these were at a track meet in Pendleton County.
February 20, 200917 yr I'm an adventurous sort; like to push the envelope. I'll ALWAYS get a hot dog at a football game; and I'll almost always get popcorn at a basketball game. Best football concesson I've been to is at Johnson Central, followed by Racelend.
