February 12, 200917 yr CJ Nitkowski was our #1 pick a few years ago. I think he had a decent year or two with the Tigers, but that's about it. No wonder the Nationals have stunk...
February 12, 200917 yr So, out of the 81 games he plays in Washington, you think he'll get "robbed" of a homerun 10 times? FWIW, here are the dimensions of Nationals' Park: Left Field- 336 Feet Left-Center Field- 377 Feet Center Field- 402 Feet Right-Center Field- 370 Feet Right Field- 335 Feet How does that compare to GABP? Couldn't find the dimensions on reds.com.

Thanks.
February 13, 200917 yr I feel the same way, out of the ones he was talking to I was hoping that he would have went with the Brewers. I wish Dunn well and hope that he "tears it up". I will say that Coupon 21 had this one pegged quite a while ago...nothing like inside info. Good job Coup!!:thumb: Friends in low places.
February 13, 200917 yr Why go there? I don't care how much they pay you. If Abreau signed a 1 year- 5 million dollar deal, I think he did the right thing. If he plays well and they are losing he could go to a contender before the trade deadline anyway. It was getting late and that is generational changing money.
February 13, 200917 yr I'm guessing Dunn knocks his buddy Austin Kearns out of a job, at least for now, with Lastings Milledge and Elijah Dukes having starting spots locked down in the outfield. Of course, much of that depends on Nick Johnson staying healthy and Dukes staying out of trouble ... well, maybe Kearns will get to play after all.
February 13, 200917 yr Jim Bowden is Reds old GM. He went by "LeatherPants". He's now Washington's GM... Which is why he took all of the old Reds' players (who he had zero success with in Cincy) and traded for or signed them in Washington. And, shockingly, he's not having any success there either.
February 13, 200917 yr I know what you mean. Looks like I will be spending 4th of July in D.C.. I cant wait.
February 13, 200917 yr After hearing of the reunion of Kearns and Dunn, local DC brewery has scheduled an emergency demand planning meeting next week to reevaluate the proposed sales forecast for summer 09. An inside source has leaked the company may well increase production by 20-30%. These numbers are being driven by record beer sales in the city of Cincinnati, during the time Kearns and Dunn were together with the Reds.:lol::lol: :dancingpa

Now, that being said the Liquor stores might want to stock up on Kettle1 Vodka.

February 13, 200917 yr Kettle 1? I'm taking it that it's not the cheap stuff:thumb: About $50 a bottle, its not cheap thats for sure. If there is no Kettle he will drink a little beer.

I think I read that Dunn will be the every day 1st baseman.
