2009 Ryle

It would be a mistake to discount the value of Eubanks at RB next year. This year he was the team's leading rusher with 764 yds, caught an additional 196 yds., and scored 8 TD's. He's exceptionally fast and a great receiver out of the backfield. He'll have a huge role in the Ryle offense next year.

I agree, I would not be surprised to see Elliot getting a lot of snaps at lb. Because he is, IMO, a better defensive player than offensive and Eubank is a talented rb. This gets both on the field for the maximum amounts of snaps.

Anyone have a schedule yet?

Anyone know when Tate Nichols will actually sign his LOI to Stanford?

If he signs this, will he play basketball next season?

I don't know if Elliott BP's 400 but he's from a quality bloodline. His brother was a good athlete, his mother is the sister of Troy and Jeff McKinley who both were D1 on the hoops side, and I believe she was a tennis player for SK. His uncle on his father side was a fine football player for SK and strong as an ox.

Yes, 400 is hard to imagine. A guy I work with just recently won a competition where he benched over 600 and he weighs about 215, now.

If I was in high school, lifting that kind of weight, I would quit school and try out for the U . F. C. and make some serious money. Can you say TapouT?:isurrender:

I look for Ryle to use Elliot FT on both sides of the ball.Probably alot like SK uses Simpson.

His speed, strength and energy will make an impact as a RB and LB.Also the physical development from freshman to sophomore year is great.

I would say he will have a major role on both sides of the ball.

Can't sign until Feb. 2010.

I would say 300lbs max

I heard from a pretty reliable source that he is up to 315 lbs.

 What kind of training regimen does he have?

Is this a projection based max? Because those can be quite misleading.

Not sure - I was just told that he maxed 315 lbs. The kid is strong as a ox and works out a ton, so I don't doubt it.

From what I understand, he works out 3 hours a day and eats a lot of protein (shakes, egg whites, etc.) As far as what he does when he works out, I don't know. I do know that he is a tremendous kid and student and he works very hard at what he does. In my 12 years of coaching, he is probably one of the toughest competitors I've ever known - when he is on the court/field he goes all out every minute.

Hard work and mental toughness have put him where he is today. I agree with everything you said and best wishes to Travis and the Ryle Raiders this season. I like the way they schedule and it is a reflection on Coach Warner's fearless mentality. The NKY 6A district should have some great battles again this year.

315 is more realistic. Any 15 year old benching 400 is gonna draw a lot of question marks. Good luck to him.
