February 4, 200917 yr I don't know what happened to this show. But this was one of the few things that MTV did that I actually really enjoyed. What are your thoughts and favorite Unplugged performances? Off the top of my head I remember liking these: Nirvana Alicia Keys Jewel Lauryn Hill Here is an episode guide...I don't remember a lot of these...but would really like to see some of them.
February 4, 200917 yr I don't know the answer to that because I never saw Unplugged, but if I understand the concept right then there is a similar show on CMT that I love called Crossroads. My favorite episodes were Taylor Swift with Def Leppard, Dave Matthews with Emmylou Harris, and Kid Rock with Hank Jr.
February 4, 200917 yr Never watched the show, but I like Nirvana's cover of The Man Who Sold the World
February 4, 200917 yr There's too many episodes of Real World and Real World/Road Rules challenges to be shot. Not enough time for music-themed shows.
February 4, 200917 yr Author There's too many episodes of Real World and Real World/Road Rules challenges to be shot. Not enough time for music-themed shows.:puke: That stinks, because I really like the show. I wish a music-themed station that promoted good music would become commercially viable sometime. From the little I have watched MTV in the last 5 years, they can't even be called a music station anymore.

February 4, 200917 yr Author Jay-Z unplugged is one of my favorite CDs ever. Unplugged was really cool. Yes, excellent cd and something that you don't see much in hip-hop. I have the Nirvana Unplugged CD. Great CD!Probably my favorite live cd of all time. I still listen to this several times a week.
February 4, 200917 yr Alice in Chains was my favorite, but watching the DVD now, with them opening with 'Nutshell', is kind of eerie.
February 4, 200917 yr I have the Jay-Z and Lauryn Hill Unplugged CD's. I love both of them, especially Lauryn's.

February 4, 200917 yr I'm glad to hear Jay-Z's Unplugged get mentioned so much because it might be my favorite. I also have Nirvana and Alice In Chains. LL Cool J also did one years ago that I remember because "Mama Said Knock You Out" with a live band, including a really amazing piano part, was just spectacular.
