February 4, 200917 yr The difference is 13 wins as of today. I'd say it'll be a while... But then again, I think Kentucky will be alright this year and even better next. The lead is now to 12 with a 108 to 91 win by UNC...
February 4, 200917 yr Barring a collapse by Kentucky (and you don't know if that won't happen), then Kentucky, I think, will reach win 2000 first.
February 4, 200917 yr If UK keeps playing like they have the past few years, and UNC keeps getting 25+ wins, yes eventually, maybe next season.
February 4, 200917 yr What say you??? UNC has 1,970 UK has 1,983 When they have won more games.
February 5, 200917 yr Well let's see UK is only 13 ahead of UNC. I would say at the very best, and I'm being very, very generous here, UK wins 12 more games this year. That has them going 6-2 the rest of the conference play, winning the SEC tournament, and winning 3 games in the NCAA. I say that UNC has a very good chance of winning 17-18 more games this year. That would put UNC at -6. I think UNC will pass UK sometime late next year. Unless, of course, some neutral historians in Lexington produce new evidence of wins from the 'oughts or the 'teens over Lexington high schools and the YMCA, like back in the early '90s.
February 6, 200917 yr Unless, of course, some neutral historians in Lexington produce new evidence of wins from the 'oughts or the 'teens over Lexington high schools and the YMCA, like back in the early '90s. At this point I am all for it.
