I don't agree. I think there are more than 2 elite QB's in the league...and Big Ben is one of them.

 

Just because Brady and Manning are the best doesn't mean they're the only elite QB's in the league. If you're talking about the discussion for all-time greats, then sure, only Brady and Manning are currently there. But, as for the league right now, a guy with a resume like Ben's deserves to be mentioned as an elite QB.

 

He's gotta be rated #3 in the league right now. I don't see any other way around it. His bottom line #'s...wins/losses and championships are incredible for a 5 year "veteran".

If that's toward me, it's because I was born in 1970. When I first started watching pro football, three teams were on TV all the time — Dallas, Oakland and Pittsburgh. And to a 5-year-old kid just discovering the game, Jack Lambert and the rest of the Steeler defense seemed like the coolest darned thing I would ever see. I was hooked from there. (Plus, Dallas' uniforms and logo was just too pansy-looking, and I just didn't feel the connection to the Raiders like I did with the Steelers.)

You obviously misunderstood my post. You commented on how many games HE had won and the last time I checked the best defense in the league helps win games right? That's why I said we are comparing players, not teams. It's not one on one.

2 years ago rating was 5 points lower than this year. 75. 18 td's and 23 interceptions. Not sure where that would have put him.

And, I'm a fan. He's a winner.

We'd have better luck defining "inhale" than "elite". Either way, there are not 10 QB's ahead of him. Frankly, there may only be 2, possibly 3. And with that OL in front of him, I would be interested how other QB's would have fared this season.
