Hospital Stay

Well what started out as strep throat has left me admitted into the hospital with a cut tonsil. Don't ask me how I cut it but it left me coughing and spitting up blood for a few hours this morning/early afternoon. I haven't had food since 8 am and they won't feed me now. I am starving so it's putting me in a bad mood.

 

I'm hooked up to 3 different machines and I can only see them adding more.

 

Nurse just walked in and said that I probably won't be able to eat until morning. They are waiting for blood tests to come back and waiting to consult with some special doctor.

On a related note, back in the day it used to be that just about everybody had their tonsils taken out. Mine were removed when I was 4.

 

Now it seems to be the exception rather than the rule.

Apparently this does not qualify me to have my tonsils removed. I can't imagine what I have to do to get them taken out.

All I can say is OUCH!

 

I had my tonsils out when I was 5, my son when he was 2, and I remember it hurt ALOT!
