January 22, 200917 yr Well what started out as strep throat has left me admitted into the hospital with a cut tonsil. Don't ask me how I cut it but it left me coughing and spitting up blood for a few hours this morning/early afternoon. I haven't had food since 8 am and they won't feed me now. I am starving so it's putting me in a bad mood. I'm hooked up to 3 different machines and I can only see them adding more. Nurse just walked in and said that I probably won't be able to eat until morning. They are waiting for blood tests to come back and waiting to consult with some special doctor.
January 22, 200917 yr On a related note, back in the day it used to be that just about everybody had their tonsils taken out. Mine were removed when I was 4. Now it seems to be the exception rather than the rule.

Now it seems to be the exception rather than the rule. Apparently this does not qualify me to have my tonsils removed. I can't imagine what I have to do to get them taken out.

January 23, 200917 yr Hope you get out of there ASAP. :thumb: In the mean time, make sure everyone washes their hands, and don't be afraid to speak up for yourself if need be.

January 23, 200917 yr All I can say is OUCH! I had my tonsils out when I was 5, my son when he was 2, and I remember it hurt ALOT!
