January 21, 200917 yr Based on what? It was a 3 point game. You think it comes down to a last second 3, or that Sosa nails it with Rupp going crazy? Obviously nothing is guaranteed, but its not ridiculous to say it would have swung the other way had it been at Rupp.
January 21, 200917 yr It absolutely does. That is the game that UL finally turned the corner. They played well that game and have kept playing well since. Same can be said for U of K. UofL played average at best against UK.

January 21, 200917 yr UofL played average at best against UK. UL won and is a better team then UK. But let's keep the facts as facts. 1. Louisville shot 55% from 3 point range; 2. Louisville shot 82.6% from the free throw line. http://uoflsports.cstv.com/sports/m-baskbl/stats/2008-2009/teamhigh.html#TGBG.THI Both of which are season highs.
January 21, 200917 yr Actually that win at FSU, who is 15-3 (23 RPI), is a really good road win. It's a pretty good road win, but FSU isn't that good. The point is that Pitt doesn't schedule good teams out of conference and they didn't play in a preseason tourney so they would be matched against good teams. FSU is their signature win. Lousiville is beating teams that haven't been good out of conference and UK.
January 21, 200917 yr UL beat ND by 14 points!!! See why my sarcasm is a bit funny? Did you forget the Overtime part?? You know in regulation when ND had the ball in th closing seconds with a chance to win??? Geez, you wear some blinders 2...BIG blinders.

If FSU isn't that good then the ACC is a 4 team race and the rest of the league is a joke...

I never said UK was very good. They're playing well against a weak SEC. They would finish 5th or 6th in the ACC and 6th-9th in the BE. The ACC is very top heavy. 4 top heavy to be exact. The next couple are average teams that are just as good as West Va, Nova, and maybe even Georgetown or Marquette. That doesn't mean they're that good. The BE is deeper, but the ACC's top 4 are better.

Lousiville is beating teams that haven't been good out of conference and UK. So, in your opinion. Who are some good teams. It appears no one in the Big East and no one ranked lower than 4th in the ACC. Those two conferences are regarded as the best two. That leaves about 4 teams. UNC, DUKE, WAKE and Clemson. So those are the only good teams in the country in your opinion. Using your logic, who did Wake and Clemson beat out of conference? Especially Clemson, look at the cupcake schedule. Wouldn't UK classify as a team that "haven't been good out of conference."

January 21, 200917 yr So again I'm back at the same argument... Why is it luck that it went to OT, rather than great defense by UL? I never said it was totally lucky...hotly contested were my words of choice, you brought the "luck" into this thread saying Tennessee winning by 12 or 14, I can't remember, was luck. You are a living, breathing, typing, contradiction.

January 21, 200917 yr FSU is much better this year than you are giving them credit for. Plain and simple... Possibly, but let's see how they do against the big 3 in their conference.
