And that team doesn't even remotely resemble the team we've seen since.

It absolutely does. That is the game that UL finally turned the corner. They played well that game and have kept playing well since. Same can be said for U of K.

Well...Georgetown and Marquette lost to Tennessee...Do those guys count as top 5 in the Big East??

I don't know about Georgetown... Marquette yes, but UT got lucky. ;)

UK got beat on a Big Least home court by a last second shot by one of those top 5 teams.

But if you say so....

A Big East team that got NO (zero) production from their center (Samuels) and 2nd best player (Clark)... Fact is, they lost... The game wasn't even in doubt until the last 40 seconds...

So let me get this straight...UT beating Marquette by TWELVE is lucky...But when UL beat UK, Villanova, and ND in three hotly contested games, luck played no part in it??? I like how you think deuce... :jump:

If that team doesn't, than neither does the team that they beat.

The bold part...thanks for the excuses. Fact is, they won on a last second shot, just as I said.

That game doesn't set them world's apart from UK as you may think it does. IF you want to lump the rest of the BE top 5 teams in there with U of L, then I don't see how you can definitively say that the top 5 BE teams are better than UK. If you can, then keep drinking the red kool aid my friend...

UL beat ND by 14 points!!! See why my sarcasm is a bit funny?

The fact of the matter is Louisville is better than UK... Keep hanging your hat on the moral victory, my friend. :thumb:

I agree, but how much better? Also, UL is one of the best teams in the country and I didn't even think they were that good 5 weeks ago. It should give UK fans hope that UK doesn't quit and has enough heart and skill to battle all game long on the home florr of one of the best teams in the country. Here's the thing though they are beating BE teams that haven't beat anyone and a pretty decent to good UK team in that time. Does that mean they make a deep run? We shall see.

Are you kidding? They just beat the #1 team in the country.

Pitt is still number 2 in RPI, they are good no matter how you measure it.

Pitt's best win out of conference is either Florida State or Texas Tech. Not exactly teams that are being mentioned as good. Did you read my post? I said they are one of the best teams in the country, but they are beating BE teams that haven't beat anyone out of conference. It wasn't even a knock on Louisville.

Where did someone (me) mention that they weren't? I mentioned that they have no good wins out of conference. Unless you consider FSU or Tex Tech to be good it was a true statement.

On their court they are...in Rupp, they don't win that game. Pretty even teams if you ask me.

Actually that win at FSU, who is 15-3 (23 RPI), is a really good road win.
