Elder's offense is far from boring. Not sure what game you were watching. I saw them against St. Thomas Aquinas (Deron Carter's team..top 10 in the nation) and Elders' passing game was very good. Colerain is one of the toughest teams in the country to run on, so of course Elder had trouble running against them.

 

Trouble? They barely ran, like I said earlier, Elder was boring to watch against Colerain; of course the 20 degree temps didn't help matters. They were not an impressive team that game, they really weren't that stellar on D either, they just managed to fall on some fumbles, the majority or which weren't forced by the D(one may have been).

Colerain might have something to say about that with the loaded talent that they return.

 

I agree though, great match up.

 

It also said that Elder has weeks 1, 2, 8, and 9 open as well. With Holmes moving down to 4A, this might set up a Highlands-Elder match up in the Herbie.

 

Another chance for OH football to claim supremecy by defeating a "KY Large School State Champ"...... which would be a mid size school in OH.

I am surprised they are going down there. Elder only has what 2 home games at the Pitt scheduled so far and will probably only get 1 more.

Perhaps, sounds right, if it's the same guy he was a stud, and made alot of his catches look easy. It almost made him look "unathletic" at times because it looked so easy for him, he could position himself in a way so that every thing thrown in his direction looked like it was an easy catch.

Colerain has a good defense. I can see where Elder might have seemed "boring" to watch against them. When I saw them and covered their game against Aquinas, their passing game was VERY GOOD and if not for a few turnovers, they would have beaten Aquinas.

He was taller than most on the field, kid was a stud though. If I watched the tapes I'd be able to point him out easily, but he was a heck of a football player.
