gamer31
This kind of shocked me. Especially with Tebow coming back.
born2reign
Probably the best decision for both guys...can't imagine Harvin's stock being any higher and Spikes can use this year to make a national names for himself and show folks how good he is with all the attention Florida is bound to get as defending champs and potential favorites. CincySportsFan
Maybe his injuries this year made him worry more about next year, and the money he might be giving up. So, this way he goes out on a high note and a positive imagine in the mind of the scouts.
SPORTY GUY
Will be missed maybe the most dangerous player last season with the ball in his hands. Injury issue might be one of the reasons for going pro. Florida still has plenty of other speed players. GO GATORS.
5wide
Smart move for Harvin... He'll be a first round pick. And, a very good player at the next level if he gets in the right situation on a team that will utilize him properly. I think he fits more in that Reggie Bush mode of RB/WR/KR...you have to find ways to get the ball in their hands with some space to work. I think it would be a mistake to pick him with the intention of turning him into a traditional RB or WR. You have to embrace these guys for the hybrid players they are, get creative with your offense and make it work. The payoff can be big.

5wide
Give me an example of big. Bush at New Orleans has resulted in the post season his first year and nothing the last 2. Bush himself has been very, very good for the Saints when healthy and utilized properly. In 38 career games, he's produced 3647 all-purpose yards and 24 TD. He struggled the most when Deuce went down and the Saints tried to use him as a traditional feature back. But, don't expect Percy Harvin (or anyone else) to single handedly make you a playoff team if you refuse to field an NFL-caliber defense year after year. By big payoff, I mean you get an explosive, game-changing performer for your offense if you can figure out how to utilize him. By big payoff, I do not mean you get a guy who magically eliminates flaws and wekanesses all over the roster. Not sure what you're looking for... Clyde
The next Peter Warrick. I somewhat agree. I'm just not sure where he fits.

Agree with 5wide used in special situations Harvin can be a very dangerous player. He is not however a every down running back or wideout. Myself agree with 5wide if used right can help a team win ballgames.
BigSpikes
I am a huge, HUGE Florida football fan and I am very happy for Percy, he has done so much for Florida football. It is a shame he couldn't stay healthy during his three years at UF. He deserves to go pro and get his money. He goes down as one of the all-time greats at UF. And I am ecstatic about Spikes coming back, he is the best linebacker since AJ Hawk, and Florida's D next year should be one of the best D's that College has seen in a long time. Not the best but it is in the discussion
Jim Schue
I think he's too small to be anything but a KR/PR in the pros.
BigSpikes
I think he's too small to be anything but a KR/PR in the pros. Size may be a factor, but the league is going smaller. Eventually someone will take a chance on the spread and these smaller Recievers, Running Backs and Spread Qb's will catch on.
