QUOTE=Clyde;3218382]Thelen moved Pittman around on the block when Thelen wanted to post up. It frustrated Pittman which led to more yapping and generally just talking to himself. He needs to get stronger physically.

I also question him being 6'7. He certainly didn't look much taller than Thelen and I'd guess Jake is 6'3. Standing right next to each other, I'd say 6'5 at the tallest.

Once again, Riley is very smooth. Hands down the best pure PG in NKY.

Dude, I don't agree with much he says, but he is right. Pittman spends a good majority of time talking. He has too much talent not to utilize the right way and right now it's like he cares more about getting in the other persons head. And actually I think it backfires on him, as it seemed he became frustrated with people pushing HIM around.

Thelen and Isler are both 6'4, with Thelen maybe edging a bit closer to 6'5. Pittman is probably 6'6.

Holmes 16 11 14 15 56

Cov Cath 9 6 6 16 37

Pittman 9

D Johnson 2

R Johnson 15

J Johnson 14

Riley 8

Housley 6

Slusher 2

JJ had one heck of a game, Rico was solid with a 2 hand dunk in the lane, Riley was 3-3, for some reason they only gave him 2 on a score that was clearly a 3,Housley scored 6 with a monster dunk over a player to b named later :D, Pittman wasn't getting any good looks, had a soft dunk. all in all very good Game for the Dawgs, one side note,"got a little sloppy now and then or it would have been 30+". PERIOD!!!

My stats are unofficial :D

Very entertaining JV game. Holmes won by one.

CCH JV coach learned a new rule. You can't throw the ball to another play out of bounds on a spot throw in.

Live and learn.

Apparently they thought it was a throw in where you could move ha.

Isler and Pittman were the same height. I agree though, no one even close to Riley.

What game were you watching? Pittman was the tallest player on the floor. He wasn't much taller than Thelen but was certainly taller. Pittman is a legit 6'6 and Jake is much taller than 6'3.

Its funny how you ask what game I was watching and then you say I'm right.

I said he wasn't 6'7. Check.

Sportsfan the only time it was close was 2-0, Holmes totally dominated the game and boards. I can't count how many one shot and done's there was on Cov Cath side. Maile can hop and play, he is the real deal with no help. Also the people who said Pittman would get bullied underneath, DON"T THINK SO!!! :idunno: As far as Conner, St. Henry, they play FOUR quarters-not three. There is a clear favorite team in the ninth at this point and that is Holmes. :dancingpa

I do not think there has been a question all year long who people feel the favorite is in the ninth but when you say the teams get to see a team (Holmes) at a different level I think is unfair if they are going into the 4th in a close game. Lets not forget Conner only lost by 7ish. Personnally I just feel to say they get to see a team at a different level is unfair if they are going into the end of the third or beginning of 4th and its still a good game.

I thought Holmes looked poor offensively. They don't shoot very well with the exception of Riley (who is so smooth). To be honest, CCH got shots. They just simply missed them or they passed up good shots to dribble into bad shots. They were open. They just clanked them.

I also thought Pittman was more concerned about yapping than he was about playing. I'd encourage the young man to work harder to get more out of his talent. I didn't see a whole lot of effort. He does pass well though.

CCH is not good and Holmes simply looked OK.

The only person who seemed to battle down low with Pittman was Thelen. Pittman was able to get position on Thelen but at times just looked disinterested and didn't do much to try and stop him. As one of the CCH players said after the game, Pittman is a lot stronger than he looks.

I think Pittman's problem LATELY is he's trying to use his size and athleticism more than working on the fundamentals that were making him successful earlier in the year. He's just having a rough stretch of games right now like Rico went through in December.

Pittman has always been a "talker." Like it or not, it's just apart of his competitive nature.

Actually that comment was directed toward hulk and his comment that Pittman and Isler were the same size. Check. ;)

I misread it , I guess. I thought I saw my quote quoted.

Good to hear Thelen coming into his own.

I am quite surprised that Machinot is scoring at ease but having problems with other aspects; over the years, it seemed that his scoring was his biggest problem (largely due to his actual biggest problem, size).

Unfortunate about the Sorrell incident- I hear it was very minor and I do not know why he seemed to be picked on. But, as we know, Coach Listerman could do no wrong, so there must be something more...

Both were quoted together.

The comment asking what game were you watching was directed toward the hulk when he said Isler and Pittman were the same size.

The comment where I said Pittman was a legit 6'6 and bigger than Thelen was directed toward you. Thelen is much bigger than 6'3.

Good to hear Thelen coming into his own.

Maschinot needs to work on his defense. He got spun around, crossed, taken off the dribble, you name it, by Riley tonight pretty much anytime Riley wanted to do one of the above. Also needs to get stronger with his passing. It led to several turnovers. He'll be solid over the next two years though if he can get taller and stronger.

Good to hear Thelen coming into his own.

Passing is Maschinot's biggest problem. One handed and not enough on it. Causes turnovers. He needs some size too obviously.

Thelen looked good. The three bigs need to be in together. Isler and Thelen compliment each other well. Jake is going to be good the next two years.

The Sorrell thing, well I think the thing was minor and misconstrued, but Sorrell HAS had an attitude problem, as well as two other kids who were always talked to from what I heard. Still saw attitude from those two tonight though so who knows? If you do it to one, you have to do it to all three I would think.
