I know Scott Co. is overated. Elliott played poorly in their first half as well.

You know JTown was good but I wasnt that impressed by them. Maybe it was just a bad game for them; this was the first time I have seen them play. They just didnt seem to have enough gas in the tank to finish the game. They lacked the intensity I have seen in other top teams in Ky. Again maybe it was an off night for them.

I suspect the Jeffersontown-Eastern game on Friday night took some of the starch out of them, and anyone that knows them knows that Jackson is a key cog on that team.

 

Still, a very good win for Madison Central.

Maybe this had something to do with Madison Central's great man to man defense and them working harder than Jtown.

Thought Cosby was the D1 stud. Can't he step up and play point. Does this game tells us something about the strength of the 7th region compared to the 11th?

J'town has a very good team. Not having Jackson hurt and J'town had a huge win last night. But I wouldn't stick a nail in the coffin concerning J'town's season yet.:lol: No disrespect to Jarvis, but Jackson is a bigger deal to be without him. Hes a fine player.

As Cawood would say, "hold the phone." Anyone that knows the 7th region realizes that Friday night's game against Eastern has been the talk around Louisville since the start of Christmas break. JTown was ready for this game and gave everything they had in dominating a very good Eastern team. This was the classic "let-down game" for JTown, and anyone that knows eastern Ky, or even any place east of Shelby Co on I-64, knows that county schools can't wait and are chompin' at the bit to get a chance to play the city schools, especially one like JTown. I'm betting Central has had this game circled on their calendar since week one as a measuring stick. This game may not have even been in JTown's top ten most important on the year. Not taking anything away from Madison Central, it was a GREAT win for them, but let's not throw JTown or the 7th region under the bus for one upset. Again, great win for Madison Central.

Cosby did not move at all without the ball and didn't do much on defense. His shot wasn't falling and I guess that affected the rest of his game. Not impressive at all. JTown has great length and a pretty good offensive big man in Reeves as long as he stays within 4 feet of the rim. I sat behing the bench and they seem to have some big issues between players and coach. Those chemistry issues better get straightened out or they won't have a chance to get through a very tough Regional.

Just thought JTown could get it done w/o one of their players.

Central also played a game Friday night. It was an away game that went right down till the final buzzer. Sounds like apples to apples to me.

I would say there is no doubt that the 11th and the 7th are the toughest in the state this year! Unlike other regions, they both go 7-8 deep with quality teams! I'm not sure one could ever determine which is better unless we have a made for TV 7th-11th tourney(sort of like the ACC-Big ten challenge):lol:
