Especially back to back snow days. One from work, and one from school. With all this lazy laying around drinking and playing video games, I'm really gald I went to the gym after work monday night.

Supposed to work tomorrow, but I don't know how "snow days" work there.

I going to head out and attempt to shovel the snow/ice. If I'm not back posting in a couple of hours, send help!:D

Something tells me you're just waking up, LN.

That sounds horrible on many levels. :irked:

Bingo. I'm kind of a morning person. :thumb:

TB&G, I kept my limbs attached and none fell off.:D Okay, I'll admit that comment was stupid.

I used a straight bladed, flat shovel and the ice came up off the walkway pretty easily (got to make it safe for Henry to get out and do her errands today). It's just rain coming down now, so I think the roads will be pretty navigable.

Oh I'm supposed to work as well. Apparently we only close if there's a Level 3 snow emergency. So I reckin they don't care if it's dangerous for us to drive to work, they just don't want us getting arrested during the process.:irked:

I've had to wake up at 5:30 the past three mornings....I'm pretty pumped I get to sleep until 7:40 tomorrow morning

Let me tell ya, I'm pretty sure Paducah is in the worse shape in the state, we got sooooo much ice, over 90% of the town is powerless, cell phone towers are down, and land lines too. I packed up and drove south and currently chilling at a Best Western in Clarksville. Didn't work yesterday or today, can't reach anyone. This must be a smidget of what those that experienced Katrina felt like. Totally helplesss and at nature and the power companies mercy

That's rough Rocket, we haven't lost power yet, but getting my car out of my parking spot is going to be a real task. I spent half an hour trying tonight, only to give up and decide to do it tomorrow.

^ You will likely be worse off tomorrow. Some of that snow was melting and now its pretty cold out so it will all be ice most likely. Took me 2 hours to get my car out.

^ It took me like half an hour to get mine out tonight, which wasn't fun but hopefully it won't be completely frozen tomorrow morning for class.

Spent two hours and still couldn't get it out. The ice wall created by the snow plows is pretty thick...

Yup same here. I'm not going to school tomorrow, going to spend my day digging out.

I wish they would just cancel morning classes.
