December 28, 200817 yr Well at least they finished the season strong. Was mentioned that the Bengals were the most injured team in the league and played the leagues toughest schedule.
December 28, 200817 yr Best thing that could have happend for the Bengals. Finish the season strong, then not think they need to make changes!
December 28, 200817 yr There will be plenty of changes, or at least there better be. The D looked pretty good down the stretch. O-line has to be the biggest concern, followed by D-line. Caldwell played well today, hope he can continue that next year.
December 28, 200817 yr I think one of the first things to do is to re-sign Benson. He has to be a top priorty going into the offseason IMO. I think the D played well through out the whole year and is improved but could always use work. Should be an interesting off season, well hopefully that is
December 28, 200817 yr 25 rushes for 111 yards and a TD today for Benson. What is most impressive is that he did this behind a line featuring Anthony Collins, Nate Livings, Eric Ghiaciuc, Bobbie Williams, and some guy named Dennis Roland...

December 28, 200817 yr Re-sign Cedric Benson & Housh. Andre Caldwell has really played well the last few weeks. I was pleasantly surprised with how physical of a WR he is. I liked him a lot at Florida, but didn't know how he'd do in the NFL. I think the Bengals got a good one with Andre. The defense has played very well the past few weeks. I hope Marvin goes, but I want to see Zimmer stick around.
December 28, 200817 yr I'd put it at maybe 10% that TJ returns... With the emergence of Caldwell, that may not be as devastating as it appears. Franchise TJ. If he goes, we'll take the draft picks and hopefully Caldwell can fill in for him. The worst part is our inability to build through the draft.

The worst part is our inability to build through the draft. Despite what Marvin denied this week I don't think they plan to tag him either. Smart money says he walks for nothing...
December 28, 200817 yr Here is a link that states the Bengals are not going to Franchise tag TJ, and that they'll instead go after a long-term deal. Personally, I think the franchise is the way to go. TJ is 32 (I think) and will demand too much money in a long-term deal. http://www.cincyjungle.com/2008/12/26/702204/bengals-won-t-slap-franchi
December 28, 200817 yr Without debating Mike Brown and his GM decisions, where do the Bengals stand as of right now in the draft selection order? And barring any trades who would be available to draft as far as a center or O-lineman?
