The first "action figure" I've had in about 43 years.

 

I don't wanna turn this into a political thread, but....I was at my family Christmas with my mom's family last night, and my cousin's husband, a flaming liberal (for lack of a better term), told me how he was disgusted with American politics and that he had voted for McCain, because of how the media portrayed Obama. He said he though Obama's plans were better, but that the American people weren't being given a fair shake when it came to coverage and because of that he was voting for McCain. I gained a lot of respect for him last night.

 

 

Not sure what that has to do with the Obama action figure, but it made me remember it so....

I got perfume, pj pants, some Bath and body works things, bottle of wine and movie gift card, NY trip that we all ready took, FFs mom used our pictures we sent her of our trip and filled 2 frames with them ( F love it), a mothers necklace, a calender.

 

FF got some Michigan gear, slippers, pants, NY trip, and movie gift card.

 

The kids cashed in...they got more than enough toys, we actually came home last night and I went through both of their rooms and the basement and cleared about about 6 trash bogs of older non used toys ( to donate) and replaced their old with new. Some times I hate that they get so much b/c its harder for them to appreciate things, but at age 2 and 4 they are really into just opening the items lol.

 

We had a very Merry Christmas. And we were able to spend it with our loved ones so we are very lucky.

Got a new muzzle loader and a gift card to a sporting goods store. Also got some gloves to use when working outdoors. Most importantly though, got to spend time with my family and the extended family. Since we only see them on Christmas most of the time, it was certainly enjoyable.

I got a set of 19 glasses. Each is engraved with the date of a Highlands Football State Championship year. The 19th one is blank to be added next year.:banana:

A new Coach wallet because my old one was too small.

some shirts, and this cashmere argile sweater I had wanted that was WAY too expensive for me to stomach buying.

My daughter is 3 1/2 so this is the first Christmas that she really understood what was going on. It was a lot of fun watching her get really excited about opening gifts.

That is the best. We have a 4 and 2 year old and they get so excited.

I received lots of nice things , but the best was time with all my family and watching them open their gifts.. The best was my daughter and her husband unwrap their gift , I had it wrapped well ! ! !
