2009 Simon Kenton Schedule

Featured Replies

What team or teams is your school dropping from the 2008 schedule? Who will they be replaced with? I heard SK is dropping Holmes, Russell, and Holy Cross.

I hear they may be playing Scott again. Use to be a real good rival.

I wish they could work something out with the Birds. I think it is totally stupid to play Ryle twice in one season..:irked:

I agree, if they played it would be standing room only. Hopefully it will happen soon.

Highlands and SK haven't played since 98, when they were in the same district.

Don't see it happening anytime soon. Highlands will continue to choose to play Boone over SK.

Does anyone know a website or something where you can look at 2009 schedules?? Does the KHSAA post them? Thanks.

Yep, IMO SK should try to get CCH back on the schedule.

2009 KHSAA schedules likely won't be up until the spring. They magically appear sometime around April or May!

I think that most schools have at least verbal agreements on their schedules fo '09 and '10 and contracts should be signed or signed soon.

I don't see why they would drop Holmes and Holy Cross then pick up Scott. That wouldn't make much sense to me. I can't wait to see who they schedule for those three weeks, a few tough non district games can really help if a 3 way tie comes into play.

The '98 game was a good one. We gave the Birds a very good game that night. Now the years prior to that not so much, 76-0 on Holloween was a nightmare.

NEERFAN, it was at Holmes and Holy Cross request that we are no longer playing them. Also, the new coaching staff at Scott called coach Marksberry early in the year to resume playing. They may change their minds. Coach "M" is looking but it seams no one wants to play the Pioneers. Unlike when we were in school and everyone was lined up at the door to play us for homecoming. I know my senior year out of 5 away games 4 were homecomings. It seems that when Coach calls people for games they want to know if Simpson is coming back and then they are not really interested. It will be interesting to see who he comes up with to play.

No doubt. I hate the thought of two games against Ryle. Two games against CovCath or NewCath, maybe. ;)

I believe there is a conflict with Highlands and SK's schedule or else they would be playing this year. Meaning the open dates don't mesh.

Makes sense. One of those little "details" that we occasionally overlook.;):D
