Yep, IMO SK should try to get CCH back on the schedule.

 

That might actually be a possibility. From what I hear Covcath is dropping L'ville X, Elder, and possibly Beechwood, and they played in the Herbie in week one, which is another open date, so it could very well could happen.

 

I know Covcath is picking up Cooper to take Louisville X slot in the last week.

Do you know where HC will fall on the schedule? I know most contracts are two year deals, so my guess would be in late October since BC and Henry Clay played on October 31 this season. Do you know if we will still be playing NCC in the Newport Bowl? I really like the additon of Henry Clay.

Does anyone know a website or something where you can look at 2009 schedules?? Does the KHSAA post them? Thanks.

Unless something has changed, we are still playing NCC in the Newport Bowl.

NEERFAN, it was at Holmes and Holy Cross request that we are no longer playing them. Also, the new coaching staff at Scott called coach Marksberry early in the year to resume playing. They may change their minds. Coach "M" is looking but it seams no one wants to play the Pioneers. Unlike when we were in school and everyone was lined up at the door to play us for homecoming. I know my senior year out of 5 away games 4 were homecomings. It seems that when Coach calls people for games they want to know if Simpson is coming back and then they are not really interested. It will be interesting to see who he comes up with to play.

 

I would think any team that feels they have a chance at playing for a state title would want to play against a back the caliber of Simpson.It can only help you get better .Show a team what they may need to work on in defending vs a really good back.The trouble sometimes is just matching up open weeks.I would think even a Beechwood would play them .I hear BW is losing Cov Cath on the schedule.

For teams not to want to play SK because Simpson is there tells me Coach M should be looking else where anyway.JMO
