Kentucky/Tennessee St. (12-22) predictions

Kentucky has no excuse not to have a top 25 schedule, at least top 30..

And as soon as they play U of L, Tennessee, Florida, and a few others, they will have :thumb:

Is that funny? Those are rivalry games basically, am I right? I recall times when those two have played and UNC was unranked, IU was unranked, UL was unranked. Those are games they will play because those are rival games..

Its pretty funny that you're trashing their schedule and then you go against your point by stating that they play those 3 traditional powerhouses each season.

The coach of a young team schedules a lot of cupcakes early in the season hoping to get his young guys going. Shocking developments. Does it get boring a little bit yes, but I get why they do it.

That is the point I've been trying to make. When Pitino had 7-8 future NBA players on his roster, then he had the top schedule in the nation. North Carolina this season should play a top 10 schedule, no question. When you have a young team with a transfer and a bunch of freshmen and inexperienced guys, you have to schedule in a way that allows the team to develop. There's nothing wrong with a top 50 schedule for the Cats this season.

Are you sure everyone is?

Thanks for ruining the "fun":lol::lol:

Are you sure everyone is?

Yeah, your right. UK playing teams like Delaware State(2-13) Miss. Valley State(0-13) and teams like Stony Brook is fine for a team like them..

Hmm, every major D-1 program??

UConn has played Miami, Wisconsin, and Gonzaga already. All 3 are top 25 teams.

Oklahoma has played Davidson, Purdue, and USC.

Texas has played Notre Dame, UCLA, Villanova, and Michigan State. They also have Wisconsin coming up.

I could go on and on. I understand playing cupcakes, I understand that. But playing 13-15 out of conference games and playing 7-9 cupcakes during those games, is pretty weak..

Yeah, Im pretty sure.

Sorry Wireman and the guys did my homework for me... Next..

Yeah, when the actual numbers come out, it seems to have a "calming" effect on the thread

Thank you...

Unless TSU is bringing their marching band this game is not of much interest.

Thank you...

I will thank you guys, also. Team that needs to mesh, you play a little softer schedule. Team that is top 10 to start the season, you play a little tougher schedule. 47 right now is a pretty good schedule.

Kentucky has no excuse not to have a top 25 schedule, at least top 30..

What are Louisville's and Cincinnati's excuses then? They are both top notch Basketball programs that schedule cupcakes also. It's not an uncommon thing among stronger basketball programs.

Louisville: Morehead State, South Alabama, Lamar, WKU

Cincinnati: Coastal Carolina, EKU, Texas Southern, Arkansas Pine Bluff.

The number 1 team in the nation is guilty as well... North Carolina has played Evansville, UNC Ashville, UC Santa Barbara. These aren't dominating teams.

Again, this is NOT a knock on any school that I've mentioned. These are all top programs who have played good teams. But they play cupcakes as well. Kentucky isn't the only one.
