All the football players are back are they not?

They are.

This is a nice win for Knott, but it is early in the season. Although the football players are back, I would have to believe that they are not in basketball form yet. They probably haven't touched a basketball since June.

Late January and February is when you will be able to tell who is the real favorite to win the region. Knott, Perry and Hazard should prove to be the best of the region with Letcher close behind. I believe Hazard will still be the team to beat. Just a neutral opinion.

Not sure but I think he may have stayed at JBS?

Clint Stepp is still at JBS along with the big guy Garrison Collins. Noticed the other night that some kid named Hall had 32 or so points in a JBS win. Does anybody know who that is?? I don't think I ever heard of him or saw him play in Summer Ball??

I seen somewhere on another site that Brent Hall had 4 double-doubles in JBS's first 4 games. Hall is a 6'4" senior forward for JBS. If I remember correct, I think he was awarded the WYMT tournament last year's 110% award because of his hustle and hard nosed style of play. Don't quote me on this but I think this is right.

Thank you, Knott Co.

No wonder Hazard forfeited vs Perry without there football players.

I know there football players are rusty but I thought this was supposed to be hands down the best team in the region and a top 10 team in the state.

KC is pretty good. I picked Hazard, but am not surprised by the outcome

This does make a huge difference. Not suprised in this score. I feel either one of these teams could come out of the 14th this year.

Hazard will only get better and better once the football kids get into basketball shape and Whitaker is 100%. Big Al will have them ready by the time the all a classic starts.

KCC reminds me a lot of the JBS team a year ago, hopefully they won't peak out in January like that team did.

That is probably because he played his summer ball with Knott Central, he tried to transfer of to KNott with Tate Cox and Garrison Collins. Cox got eligible and the other two didn't so they went back to JBS. If KNott would of had Hall or Collins or both on the inside, they would definitely be ranked top 5 in the state. But with just the two guards, it will be tough for them to come out of the 14th, but showed last night it is possible! Going to be a great January and February.

Yeah....let's see how the Bulldogs look in late January when everyone is fully in hoops mode.

Nice win for Knott County though.

Hazard lost by 2 and only has had the football players back a week. But the real ace in the hole for them is the kid who transferred from Perry Central. He is not going to be eligible until January I believe. The big thing he gives Hazard is another very effecient ball handler. Hes also an athletic young man who will bring more quickness to the team.

Knott is ahead of everyone at this stanza. A long season to come. Take the top four and pull them out of a hat by March. Injuries and team chemistry will play a part. Congrats to KCC.
