Palin's Church set on fire....$1 million damage.

Featured Replies

Sarah Palin's church was set on fire last week. Why has this not been a bigger story? Every time a church is burned in the south it is front page news in every paper. I hadn't heard about this until listening to a Christian news broadcast on the radio today.

I bet if Rev. Wright's church was set on fire it would be the lead story on every news channel and on the front of every paper.

How much news on anything do you hear from Alaska?

What does Rev. Wright's church have to do with anything? Why would Palin's church be more important than any other church?

TB&G, you know that if this was Rev. Wright's church the media would have been all over it. I think the point he was trying to make was that since it was a conservative's church, the media isn't giving it the time of day. That may or may not be true, but either way I'm really surprised this hasn't gotten any air time.

The church was set ablaze with five people inside. The only reason that this has not been a huge story is the role that the national media played in demonizing Sarah Palin and the negative publicity that they gave her church. If this had been Trinity, we would be witnessing marches on Washington over attempted genocide.

The media knows that it might very well have played a role in getting Palin's church torched. I hope that the arsonists are caught and I hope that it was a politically motivated act. Maybe that will bring some well deserved attention to the extreme bias that the media exercised against Palin for having the audacity to run for vice president as a conservative.

Do you really believe that if Rev. Wright's church had been torched, we would not be hearing Democrats demanding in unison the resurrection of the Fairness Doctrine and as they blamed Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity for the blaze?

Have you forgotten the armies of reporters who descended upon Alaska to dig up dirt on Palin? Of course, this will not get any coverage on the usual liberal media outlets unless Palin can be tied to the crime.

On the other hand, if this were Wright's church or Obama's church (assuming he has one which may be a large assumption on my part), we'd have the FBI, CIA, media, and all local and state law enforcement groups in hot pursuit. It would be constant coverage that would even knock Caylee Anthony off the air. Barney, Harry, Chuck, Nancy, Jesse, and all the others would be ringing their hands and gnashing their teeth.

Have you forgotten how much more play in the media that Wright got over some of the weird stuff going on at Palin's church? Fact is, if the the left had some one like hannity or rush (who are certainly part of the media) the Alaskan church would have gotten more play before the election and thus more play after. I think it is equal treatment of focus before and after.

You're kidding, right? You're that bitter over the election that you are going to blame the media for some moron setting a fire?

 Nobody knows who set the fire. It could be a moron, a lone lunatic, or it could be the work of some left wing abortion rights group.

I do regret the demise of the mainstream media in this country but regardless of how biased the media are, people deserve the government that they get. Obviously, Americans deserve Obama because the election was not even close. If that is bitterness, then our understanding of the term differs sharply.

I she had been storing her wardrobe in the church, then that would have been news worthy. We all learned how important her clothing was during the campaign.

This is terrible! There are so many things with which I disagree with Ms. Palin, but torching a church, and with 5 people inside! That's sacriligious, and it's murderous. I couldn't get the link to work. Were the people inside able to get out ok?

Don't worry, the left will take care of that in due time.

Yes, from what I have read no one was injured.

They do, it's just that they're so pitiful nobody tunes in.

Allow me to re-phrase then since you didn't answer the question.

Do you honestly believe the media is culpable in this arson?
