I tend to agree with pickoff both Jones and Huffman have the speed for the outfield but when he is needed as a relief catcher he is solid there also.

I again agree with pickoff.

Don'T know if John Scott Carver will play Baseball now he signed with Georgetown for Football.

Who can replace supper star Boyle's? He said he was not going to play Baseball this year. Going to focus on Football.

Boyles has not played in two years.

Greenup County will hit well and score runs. The pitching will be there also but replacing Heineman will have to be a team effort.

 

Does Raceland have the pitching depth to make a run in the 16th region.

 

Greenup Co. will imo no doubt be and should be the favorite in the 63rd district and the 16th region.

 

As for Raceland's pitching, I am not sure, from what have been hearing pitching will be the big question mark for the Rams, should they find some good pitching and pitching depth Raceland could make it tough on some people.

I am pulling for my Rams first and foremost of course and I also pull for and wish GCHS the best except for when they play Raceland. I certainly hope that these two (RWHS and GCHS) will be the 63rd representatives in the 16th region tournment and I believe that they will.

We have a couple that should be alright in Wilson and Reynolds they are the only two that has thrown alot in varisty. McKee was getting some games under his belt until he got hurt. We had a few others throw in some games also but these three is what everyone I have talked to seems to be the main ones as of now. I guess things could change once practice starts and the coaches sees who comes out for the team.

This is a few of the players that I know have pitched sometime while playing.

I think Jones pitch some last year cannt remember for sure.

If we can get atleast 3 of these guys to contribute, we will be more successful than anyone thought.

I think at least 4 of these guys can contribute maybe more! Josh Reed pitched last fall with fairly good sucess, Drew Darby can pitch NOW, Some of the guys are not overpowering BUT they can throw STRIKES and that is what counts the MOST, and LET YOUR FIELDERS WORK AND MAKE PLAYS. I feel WE may SURPRISE a lot of people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:thumb:

I know I don't have a dog in this fight anymore, but I am still a Ram fan and want to see success with their baseball program. Coach hoof is a great teacher of the game and a wonderful person as well. I would never try to tell him how to do his job. But what I would like to see is this. I think you should take your #1, 2 & 3 pitchers throwing against the starters in practice. Let those guys get use to seeing what lies ahead when the season starts. I know they see a lot of live pitching in Florida, but they need this in practice. They don't have to throw a lot, but 25-30 pitches a day (once it gets warm), would be great. You maybe understating priority of pitching. You have to be strong up the middle: catcher, pitcher, SS, center. Looks like catcher position should be solved but jury still out pitching and SS. IMO
