Anyone familiar with Moeller - does Griffin McKenzie not get much playing time for them? I noticed he wasn't in the scoring box.

Cincy plays a better brand of ball than N. ky.

 

Cincy has a lot more kids to choose from, and considering how small some NKY schools are NKY competes pretty well. I agree with mortgagegeek, the reason NKY competes with Cincy is because they play as a team.

 

Holy Cross has an average of 100 kids per class and they beat Oak Hills last year. Isn't Oak Hills the biggest school in Ohio? CCH lost to St. X by a couple last year and St. X is double CCH in their freshman class. They have better players, but their is no way you can say that they play better ball.

He's out with a back injury--Looks like he's gotten huge (He was the kid on the bench in street clothes). Isn't he originally a Boone County kid?

How is Mason County not a Northern Kentucky Team. Maysville sits on the Ohio River?

 

Louisville is on the banks of the Ohio too. You'll have to do better than this to convince anyone Mason County is part of NKY.

II don't consider Mason Co.a N.Ky team.Just like in football ,when N.ky.teams play Ohio teams who usually wins? In the history of Ky high school basketball how many N.Ky.teams have won the title? I think its one.Other than Holmes there are no teams that could match up with Cincy's better teams.

If you really want an answer to the bolded, it's two different answers. In football, Ohio teams normally win, in basketball that's not the case. Either someone has given you some bad information, or you haven't done any research, because you're off base here.

 

BTW, who do you consider some of Cincy's "better teams".

Demographically speaking, Cincy is the counties of Hamilton, Clermont, Butler, and Warren.

 

NKY is Boone, Kenton, and Campbell. Seems pretty easy to define, and certainly encompasses the VAST majority of the population in Greater Cincy.

As I told a Mason Co. Assistant Coach this summer, when Mason wins state, they are most certainly NKY. However, when compiling NKY Top 10 lists......now that is a different story!

Fair enough. My point is when one thinks of Cincy area schools, they look at the above mentioned counties in Ohio and Ky.

The MC game had more of an affect on Scott that what I thought, but Scoot was going to be overmatched against Moeller no matter what

Why isn't Mason Co. ranked in the N.Ky top ten? They are not considered by the area coaches to be a N.ky team. Case closed.
