Holy Cross was impressive in their comeback win over Newport Central Catholic. That being said, I think Mason County will win by 10-15. Holy Cross may be able to hang for awhile, but the Royal's shooters will take over in the second half.

I don't know much about Holy Cross, but if Mason County plays anything like they did on Friday at Cov Cath, they will be very tough to beat.

 

Mason County's size will be very tough for HC to defend. They have nobody in their starting lineup over 6'3 and they aren't exactly one of the most athletic teams outside of Giwa.

 

I'd be very surprised if HC kept this within 20.

If Mason beat CovCath by 20 they will beat Holy Cross by 30.

Not trying to thread jack, but with or without Shover, Covcath will beat Holy Cross this year. I've seen both and HC just doesn't have the talent or size to beat Covcath. They have no answer for Covcath's bigs and no depth will hurt HC considering Covcath will play around 10 guys every game.

 

And Mason is simply a mismatch against Holy Cross. Their length and size will give HC fits. Expect them to get a lot of offensive boards and put backs with Barner and Pawsatt down low.

It's early anyone can win.

One thing HC does have is depth. They run 10 guys in and out. Don't know which game you saw to make you think they have no depth!
