December 5, 200817 yr Author I think ol' OJ is going to find a new meaning to "Hertz." Oj won't be in with the majority population. He will be in a separate area. it was already discussed on ESPN.

December 5, 200817 yr Author And those guys dont have needs? The majority of the people he'll be with are "low risk" inmates and he will be in an isolated cell by himself. I do understand what you're trying to say though.
December 5, 200817 yr And those guys dont have needs? Ten years is a long time to look at and it can make folks look at others in a new light.
December 5, 200817 yr I think ol' OJ is going to find a new meaning to "Hertz." The other prisoners better watch out for O.J...He's the one that is the killer...:creepy:
December 5, 200817 yr Basically this was a death sentence, considering he is almost 62 year old. A mandatory 8 years in prison at that age is not healthy and I say he doesn't see freedom again. sad conclusion for such a storied collegiate athlete.
December 5, 200817 yr Kidnapping is punishable by 5 years to life in prison. Armed Robbery carries a mandatory sentence of atleast 2 years in prison. I do have a problem with the fact that rapists get out earlier than OJ will. I really think the sentence had a lot to do with his past record, which in some ways is unjust considering he was aquitted for it. I have to agree somewhat that the sentence does seem awfully tough. Yes, it was kidnapping under the legal definition of the crime, but when most of us hear "kidnapping", we generally think of a far more serious crime than holding someone against their will in a hotel room for a few minutes. As far as the armed robbery charge, OJ did not bring a gun to the room, though he did ask others to do so. Frankly, I hold them more accountable for this charge than OJ. I am not an OJ supporter - in fact, the guy is human waste. He broke laws here and should absolutely be punished, but my impression is that he is also now paying for murders for which he was previously acquitted.
December 5, 200817 yr Here's how I see it. The guy dodged a HUGE bullet the first time. IF he was stupid enough to think he was above the law and do something else, such as what he did, so be it. He has only O.J. to blame. Should have took the break he got and enjoyed the rest of his life. Now he has no "rest of his life" for the most part.
December 5, 200817 yr One of the best College and NFL running backs of all-time, is tackled hard today. If you ask most young people about O.J., they just know him from his previous legal problems, or perhaps a movie/TV commercial. He'll be wearing another number, which no one should ever strive to have. Should this affect his HOF status?

I can hardly imagine the he was ever "enjoying life". No matter the facade, him out golfing, womanizing, vacationing, I have to believe this guy has been haunted ever since that fateful night. So, there was never a moment that this guy could think, whew, I got away with it now I'll lay low. What happened with this latest incident was something that was bound to happen. In some sick, perverted, psychological way, he is going to be relieved to finally serve for what he did! When he said he was sorry for the robbery incident, he was really saying he was sorry for the murders.
