Doctors Shocked At Hostages's Torture

Featured Replies

"Bombay has a long history of terror. I have seen bodies of riot victims, gang war and previous terror attacks like bomb blasts. But this was entirely different. It was shocking and disturbing," a doctor said.

Asked what was different about the victims of the incident, another doctor said: "It was very strange. I have seen so many dead bodies in my life, and was yet traumatised. A bomb blast victim's body might have been torn apart and could be a very disturbing sight. But the bodies of the victims in this attack bore such signs about the kind of violence of urban warfare that I am still unable to put my thoughts to words," he said.

Asked specifically if he was talking of torture marks, he said: "It was apparent that most of the dead were tortured. What shocked me were the telltale signs showing clearly how the hostages were executed in cold blood," one doctor said.

The other doctor, who had also conducted the post-mortem of the victims, said: "Of all the bodies, the Israeli victims bore the maximum torture marks. It was clear that they were killed on the 26th itself. It was obvious that they were tied up and tortured before they were killed. It was so bad that I do not want to go over the details even in my head again," he said.

Corroborating the doctors' claims about torture was the information that the Intelligence Bureau had about the terror plan. "During his interrogation, Ajmal Kamal said they were specifically asked to target the foreigners, especially the Israelis," an IB source said.

Maybe Obama should go talk to them.

wonder if anyone of them were waterboarded?

We have lost some moral ascendancy.

I can't imagine Israel takes this very well.

We have lost some moral ascendancy.

Compared to what happened to them before they died, waterboarding would have seemed like a walk in the park.

I heard the torture was so bad they tied the victims up and made them watch the entire Bengals game last Sunday...

Oh yeah, that would have been much worse than what they had to endure.

You comparing these individuals to the US, that is torture in itself. How much do you hate the nation you live in?

That is an awful big jump that you make there. However, when we legitimize torture and then deny having to answer to international authority on it then it is hard for us to stand up and denounce it to anyone.

Same on pre-emptive war. Russia felt "threatened" by Georgia so they invade a province - What moral standing do we really have to denounce it?

Cruelty is cruelty and it should be codemned whenever and wherever it takes place. It does not mean that I hate my country, it means that I hate that we lowered ourselves to torturing God's children. Many of whom we are now finding out had nothing do with acts against the US or acts of terrorism or anything for that matter.

This is without the biggest apples to oranges comparison I've ever seen anywhere. Absurd to me how you can compare water boarding to what these animals have done.

It amazes me how you twist things to fit your viewpoint.

Just because God created humans does not automatically bestow “Child of God” status upon them. God created Lucifer, who became full of himself and led a rebellion of other created beings against God. I can't believe that you would argue that we should give satan a free pass... or his children.

Jesus defines who the children of the devil are in John 8:42-47

Jesus said to them, "If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and now am here. I have not come on my own; but he sent me. Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say. You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me! Can any of you prove me guilty of sin? If I am telling the truth, why don't you believe me? He who belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God."

I am instructed to love my brothers (of a common Father, God) I am not compelled to love the children of the devil.

Israel will respond in kind.

We fight terrorists, Israel knows how to handle them!

So our argument now becomes, "well you are right, we tortured by it was not as bad as your torture"?

You are compelled to love your enemy and not to return evil for evil.

It is amazing how you twist things to fit your viewpoint.

So you have to agree with everything your country does to be someone that loves it?

Wow...

The torture described in the article was for no other reason than to humiliate and prolong the agony of a very cruel and painful death for innocent unarmed victims by evil men who were clearly not God's children.

The so called "torture" of waterboarding to cause fear and intimidation (without an intent to cause lasting harm, maiming or death) to evil men intent upon killing more innocent people for the purpose of extracting valuable information from them that can be used to thwart the actions of other evil colleagues also intent upon killing innocent people is so completely different I can't even begin to comprehend a point of view that attempts to equate them.
