LTMS is probably the favorite.

I would like let the folks in Walton know how much respect I have for their kids, coaches, and fans. Quite possibly the classiest bunch of people we have ever competed agaist. Walton has a great team and I just can't say enough about McNeil and Moeves, they are truely 2 of the best in the state. I think fatigue figured prominately in the outcome of this game but I am very proud of our boys and how hard they played, they led from tipoff to the final buzzer and that speaks volumes about their heart.

Wayne beat Betsey Lane in the last minute in another great game. Betsey lane has improved so much over the past 3 seasons. Wayne is a great program that expects to win.

The biggest suprise for me was Moss beating Crosby. It was a great game that came down to the last minute and Moss made the plays. I know I told everyone how good Moss was, but I was suprised at this outcome after watching Crosby play.

Johnson Central was down 12-10 at the half to Southern and then Shane Hall proved that he is one of the very best by dominating the 2nd half and leading Johnson Central to a big victory.

Glasgow played extremely well early in the day taking Scott County to the wire. They have improved alot since we played them early in the year.

Sebastian has an excellent player that I had never seen before but the young man can flat play.

Trigg County had a very impressive player as well.

Sorry I don't have the names but these kids are both really good players.

Lincoln County played well but came up short agaist a good Knox team that I had never seen play.

Should be some great games tomarrow, I look for LTMS to defeat Moss in the final. I hope it's Johnson Central and Clinton County, we'll have to see what happens. Good luck to everyone and it has been a great tournament.:dancingpa

I like the same final of LTMS vs Moss but I like Moss to win it. I think Moss will have an easier road today to finals and the fatigue factor could make the difference. But having said I would not be surprised to see LTMS win it.

No. 21 is a nice player for Moss. He reminds me of a poor man's Quin Richardson because he plays the 3 defensively but the point offensively and does a great job. The Crosby-Moss game was a great one but I thought the patience of Moss to always take a good shot was the difference in the end. Crosby panicked a little down the stretch. That w as definitely the best game of the day - a very physical game. Oh, a littl luck played into it. Moss banked a 3 late that kind of salted it away, plus they had a 5 point posession in the 4th (a 3 and a foul on 9rosby when the ball was in the air then a 2upoing FG) that gave them the lead for good at 31-30.

Good luck to everyone this morning. My favorite team Scott Co has its hands full against Johnson this morning.

SouthernKyHoops, Thank you for your comments regarding our kids and our program. It was a very hard fought game and the respect your team showed our players afterward will undoubtingly leave a mark on these young men for the rest of their lives. For that I am truely grateful. Best of luck to you and the rest of the Clinton County faithful. Feel free to contact me personally in the future. I would love to stay in touch over these next few years as I have a sneaky suspicion that these two fine programs will possibly be meeting again somewhere down the line. Again best of luck and God bless. :thumb:

Knox beat LTMS 32-30. Johnson 33 Scott 27. Clinton last second 3 to beat S Laurel by 1. Moss over Wayne.

Johnson jumped on SC 11-0 but then 6th grader Hines Jones made 5 3's over 2 quarrters and SC led 15-14. It was 20-16 SC when Portwood went down with the ankle injury with just over a minute left in the 3rd. He missed 4 minutes and Johnson took the lead. SC cut it back to 28-27 with the ball late but a turnover then Johnson FT's sealed it. Johnson focused their entie defense on Portwood and SC never forced it to him and took the 3's Johnson gave them. Hall had a good game for Johnson and is a nice player.

I heard Knox slowed the pace on LTMS and jumped to a 13-2 lead and hung on.

Johnson by 3 over Knox and Moss over Clinton. Johnson vs Moss for the title.

Moss big over Johnson 53-28 final.

Moss big over Johnson 53-28 final.

I am not surprised Moss won, but I am by that many. But, basketball is a game of matchups. LTMS would have matched up better with Moss with anyone that played today. But, Knox, from what I heard, did an excellent job of slowing the pace. If Scott County would have beaten Johnson, they would have a had a better chance against Knox than they would have against LTMS because the pace would have been slower. I think the reason stayed with Johnson in the quarters is because Scott County got the pace where they wanted.

I said before the quarters I expected Moss to win becuase they would be fresher in the finals (although I predicted they would be playing LTMS). For those that were at the game, did fatigue play a factor in the wide margin?

It does appear, though, that the Moss-Crosby Round of 16 game Saturday night was probably a matchup of the best 2 teams this weekend. That was a heck of a game.

Congrats to Moss!

Where is Moss located and who are the stars on that team? AAU Legends players? Louisville?

Moss was just to athletic and that is hard to overcome at this age.........I left before the finals but a friend of mine watched it and was calling me with updates. He said the Johnson coach pulled his starters early in the 4th and that help Moss widen the margin. Moss is the midle school for Warren Central

Nice to hear that our pipeline is alive and well at the middle school level. Hope that means big things down the road for Warren Central.

It was a very bad matchup for Johnson Central. They are a quality team. I agree Crosby was the 2nd best with LTMS 3rd and then Johnson Central. Clinton County was lucky to beat South Laurel but played with a lot of heart and pulled it out at the end. We played very poorly and should have lost.

Agaist Moss we (Clinton) opened in a zone and they destroyed us on the glass with 18 2nd chance points in the first half. We got down 20 very early in the 3rd and went to our press and they really struggled with it. We cut the lead to 8 and had the ball in the middle of the 4th but just had nothing left in the tank. I am so proud of how hard our kids played. It wasn't one of our better tournaments but we played hard throughout and finsished in the final 4 which should prove that last season's runner up finish wasn't a fluke. The bad news is that Moss is in our region so we are going to have to work that much harder this summer.

The biggest suprise of the tournament to me was Knox County. They were very well coached and pulled the upset of the tournament to get to the final 4. There were some terrific players and some excellent teams. I actually saw some of the best basketball games I have ever seen this weekend. Basketball in Kentucky is alive and well with several future stars on the way. I would like to thank everyone for their support and friendship and will help if you never need anything I can help you with. Great job coaches, players, and fans, it was a wonderful weekend.

Does anyone know of the condition of the young man from Anderson County who fell, if so please post.

Exciting game at SOAS tonight (U14) -- the Knicks beat the Flash (30-25).
