November 29, 200817 yr I agree with HT Kobe doesn't play alot because the Lakers are usually up big in the 4th.
November 29, 200817 yr At todays level? Lebron.. Bosh, Wade, Paul, Howard. All before I take Kobe. Love the Mamba he's just gettin up there. Mamba just turned 30 a few months ago, SHEESH! I know what you mean though, with all the stars in the NBA in their early 20's. Kobe may have had help to get the rings, but he has done it in the postseason for years and while Lebron had a great run to get the Cavs to the Finals, he has yet to get a ring.
November 29, 200817 yr I agree with Saint. I'll take LeBron for the first 3 quarters. Give me Kobe in the 4th when the game is on the line. Kobe is a better defender. LeBron is a better rebounder. Kobe has the better shot. LeBron is just plain unstoppable when he drives to the basket. Truthfully, they are pretty even in my book. That's a tough call. I'd like to see some stats from LeBron's and Kobe's first couple of years in the league.

November 30, 200817 yr Yeah, Kobe's first few years were not that good. He was selfish and immature and wasn't that good. He turned it up and started playing better and won 3 championships along side Shaq. Kobe is a freak at taking the game over. LeBron can do pretty much anything he wants. If he put his mind to it, he could be a great defender like Kobe, but right now he isnt.
November 30, 200817 yr If I had to have a player this season, not build a team around for the future, and I had the first available pick between the 2, I'd take............................Dwyane Wade. I think currently Kobe is the best player in the league. I think that Lebron and D.Wade are a close second. I think that A. Stoudemire needs a tissue. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/rumors/post/Stoudemire-expresses-frustration-with-Suns-offe;_ylt=AkQHSO963XlwFkrsHSU4n2zWn414?urn=nba,125455

I'd like to see some stats from LeBron's and Kobe's first couple of years in the league. LBJ's first year 79 games started 39.5 Minutes played per game .417 FG % .290 3 Point % .754 FT % 5.5 RPG 5.9 Assists per game 1.6 Steals per game 20.9 PPG Kobe's first year 6 games started 15.5 Minutes played per game .417 FG % .375 3 point % .819 FT % 1.9 Rebounds per game 1.3 Assists per game 0.7 Steals per game 7.6 PPG Now Kobe's first year where he started 50+ games (3rd year) 50 games started 37.9 Minutes per game .465 FG % .267 3 point % .839 FT % 5.3 RPG 3.8 APG 1.4 SPG 19.9 PPG These stats really don't mean much since Kobe started a total of 7 games in his first two seasons...
November 30, 200817 yr If your starting a team now its Lebron obviously. How has Lebron done more with less? Don't compair there #'s this year.... Kobe is only playing like 30 minutes a game. I agree that its hard to compare numbers. I go on what I have seen and I'll take Lebron. As for Lebron doing more with less, when Kobe Bryant didn't have a great supporting cast the Lakers didn't make it out of the 1st round. But 2 years ago with Lebron James Cleveland went to the finals and led his team to game 7 vs. the Celtics where his team was much more competitive than the Lakers who had the better supportin cast.
